QUOTE(Zan81 @ Aug 16 2010, 12:57 AM) Walcott could have played a simple, low cut back... but noooOoOOoOoOooOOoo... he HADDDD to give a floating cross. Crap lah... thats why you often see me criticizing his decision making, and id criticize him againBut I'd take 1-1 considering the performance. earlier he did a shot on goal where he should have crossed as well, 4 yellow shirt in the box fukken frust! nasri today was pretty dull, thou he tried arshavin made a couple of ineffective runs, he tried as well van persie nth much chamakh, not much service he had from our middfield, he was overwhelmed by pool defenders as well wilshere - harsh to say he is the main culprit of the goal we concede but he has to take some responsibility |

QUOTE(kimhoong @ Aug 16 2010, 02:20 AM) ok, my take of the game: Almunia - on the part that he is the best we have atm, agreedGK discussion. Almunia is not the best GK, but he is our better GK of choice. I understand that we need better GK but it's not an easy task - financially (to pay) and technically (to scout). Venue. This is ANFIELD - enough said. They are a lot of individuals to talk about but I will pick a handful: Almunia - he's good but not the best. He did save a few - but made a few wrong decisions on challenging the high balls. Kos - decent game and the 2nd yellow was unfortunate. Diaby - I did not see what most of you saw Little Jack - Both the expectation and imagination are too high. He's not a first team player yet. (I agree that Denilson would do much better Arshavin - our "faster" Hleb, not more. As a senior player, I expect more from him. Chamakh - decent game for him. I rate him as a faster Bendtner - for now. Walcott - I was impressed with his first run of the game. Performance-wise, he was so-so but my expectation to him has raised. (At least he was willing to shoot when it was least expected) (I know I didn't rate everyone - I'll leave it to others to do so Overall, it was a bad game to us - despite the You-never-walk-alone fans and suspicious refeering (to both sides). PS2: Casanova88 was right, +1 to you! ... but a prediction of 1-1 without elaboration did not fancy me Kos - agreed Diaby - agreed Wilshere - hmm, i not sure if i put it this in a right way for AW to put him up againts Liverpool in such crucial game, AW must have felt he is ready for the big game, but it was rather dull from little jack, he did not took his a adventure when he had the ball.. he gets the ball he keep pass i personally feel, all the 11 players that is selected to start a game bares equal responsibility, doesnt mean wilshere as a young lad/ first timer, does not take responsible at all. im not really banging him , but i suppose you understand what i meant Arshavin - well, he may seem impactless, but he really tried hard, i meant he made a lot of fruitless dribbling attempts but make no mistake, every time he dribbles, 2 liverpool defenders will hack him down. IMHO i personally feel Liverpool defended really solid tonight, im sure some of you guys realize, 10 men down doesnt mean their defence defect, but mostly on their attack, what more the men that got red was joe cole... their formation was changed to 4 4 1, no changes to their defence, still solid. he and nasri were toothless today Walcott - dont really agree, his decision making still makes me hate him bad....sorry aite, but i will still try hard to try to like this guy. hopefully he will allow me someday. Casanova - to be fair, aite i may hate him, perhaps to much credit is given to him..in reality everyone predicted this game to be a 1-1 draw, from pundits to expects to fans and to majority of FPL predictors. but okay la.. ill +1 to him this time |

seriously,
a better decision on walcott cross during the 90+ minute might have brought us a 2-1 victory he would have been a hero if he delivers that nicely it really pains me, simply because there were just to many yellow shirt in the box waiting to receive a ball. and he wasnt really in any pressure to deliver the ball but ill still wait for walcott to get effecient and effective, doing the right things and doing things right i shall stop picking on walcott before i go crazy. sorry aite |

our GK issue Almunia spoke! a bit kesian Almunia thou, its never easy when things are not settled. hopefully things get settled fast, staying or moving i dont really care d if we are not getting any new GK, so be it... they should quickly reassure Almunia of 1st team GK spot and let him focus in his game |

QUOTE Arsenal is relying too much on luck... has been like that since the last season, that's why when the luck runs out, we got trashed badly by teams like Wigan, Blackburn, and Tottenham (and Drogba too) i loled when i see this statement, talking about? luck trust me, we are way far behind in terms of getting lucky i used to always count luck from match to match, we yet to break even on certain matters..but come to think of it its silly thinking that we will break even in luck i understand where you are heading but, probably you might want to explain it in a different manner but not touching luck This post has been edited by Quick`: Aug 17 2010, 10:49 AM |

QUOTE Arsenal is relying too much on luck... has been like that since the last season, that's why when the luck runs out, we got trashed badly by teams like Wigan, Blackburn, and Tottenham (and Drogba too) QUOTE Luck certainly plays a big role to be a champion. Sir Alex Ferguson already talked about it a few times already. And we WERE certainly lucky to get away with 1 point no matter how you look at the Liverpool game. So, I don't know why you lol'ed about luck as if i was talking about something childish... ok step by step okay? if you read your first post properly you made a mistake by Generalizing Arsenal runs on luck the whole season is pure rubbish of course luck plays an important role, but i dont put situatios like you do, to the extreme. of course we were lucky to get away with 1 point, but werent they lucky to get one point to? you heard of the phrase "the eyes only sees what they want to see, and totally neglects those that they dont wish to see and easily got blinded?" this then applies for the next setence u made QUOTE In fact, I believed we didn't deserve to win some games last season, but somehow we just slotted a goal in right before the final whistle. That to me was lucky instead of Arsene's favourite proclamation of 'mental strength'. And when reality strikes, when we don't have the luck , that's when we we will fail to score and draw/lose the game. (Yes Wenger, so much mental strength to give away the Wigan and Blackburn games after leading 2-0) i am not saying that i watch a lot football, but arguably i think i watch more then u so you think last minute goals are all lucky? even when we do it constantly. what a joke, you try to answer yourself seriously, see if you can answer yourself, if you still insist all last minute goals all are based on luck, then seriously theres nth else i can do to say or prove you are wrong. if you look at those games MU/Chelsea won 1-0, 1-0 a lot of them also came from errors and such, but of course u dont see it. Cause Arsenal is running on luck machine to you, its downloaded into your brain. Hence eleminating any other facts and truths around, i always remind myself never be 100% sure or confident about something, always leave that 1% possibility to accept that fact that i might be really wrong. i suggest you do that, from the way you post things you are confident that you are really right. give a thought about what i say alright on our the injuries issue id like not to touch on the topic, its not a bout luck any more, it feels more like a curse. and this i confidently say nobody has ever felt the curse of injuries as deep like our team ever do for the past couple of seasons. |

QUOTE(skod @ Aug 18 2010, 01:49 AM) i thought you were spamming till i quote you really got me hmm at this rate, the odds are high la that it will happen, the thing you guys, probably me and a lot of other Arsenal fan's out there wants. That either schwarzer or given will come to us. like one of you guys mentioned, if fulham can get given , i guess they dont mind letting go schwarzer Given can be a long time plan for them, schwarzer a short term plan probably one season for us in the mean time hopefully schecnenzey can step up, otherwise we can still look into the market after the season ends for a new GK |
