Regarding the POP OF DEATH issue, is there anyone that own this amp? The issue is that the amp will have a pop and goes into protected mode. This is triggered by cable boxes, htpcs, tivos, appletvs, etc. There are documented cases of POD skeptics having a 6004 or 5004 installed and it popping into protect mode in less than 30 minutes. it is a real issue.

But apparently heard from rumors that someone with multiple IDs are actually sabotaging Marantz...

Do u own this amp and is this something u hv experienced?

If yes, I would suggest to get in touch with the rep for Marantz.

The new Marantz amps seem to have some issues, however, I have not heard anything from local owners yet. I guess, since u bring this up, u cld be the 1st one that actually has the amp and has seen this particular problem.

The XXX4 series Marantz amps seems to be having high failure rate, not really sure if it is being hyped up or its real.

so far, i have sold 6004 and 5004 and nr1501, no issue at the moment. But i haven't sold more than 10 units on marantz so can't really confirm if it's a common issue.

I am aware of this issue. Still I went ahead and bought SR6004. Because I like the sound of it.

No problem so far.

But I am weary with the fact that the unit cannot apply Audyssey when bitstreaming Dolby TrueHD and DTS-Ma.

The issue has been with the older 6003. Am surprised that this issue was not being addressed

Is this a problem that only happen on SR6004, or other brands are also having the same problem ??

Only Marantz seems to disable Audyssey during lossless codecs processing.

I believe there is not enuf processing power.

So meaning to say if I've already adjusted the level of the surround speakers during the Audessey setup, but when I play lossless audio, the setting will gone back to default ????
