Recently i jz bought Nokia C6. I had key in security code to access WIFI (the phone will auto save and classify it as known WIFI). When i try to disconnect from a known WIFI, the phone will automatically reconnect to that known WIFI if the phone can detect the WIFI signal. Anyone know how to disable automatic WIFI connection since it will consume alof of battery? Please help.

Thanks

Hi bro for me i used :
menu button > settings > Connectivity > Destinations > Internet > "your WLAN access point name" > "scroll down last - use access point" to after confirmation

it will ask u if u want to connect first

do for all network connection unless u have unlimited broadband data plan as the phone will try relentlessly to get on a network

i might subscribe to celcom unlimited data plan but too bad going overseas soon

Added on July 23, 2010, 7:52 pmHi all
just to add on a little, u need to close down the application that is using a network for example email or facebook, u need to press option, exit. If not the program will sit in the background (u can see a little green circle on top of the program's icon) and consume memory resource that leads to not enough memory error.
Its a pain, hope nokia on software update can let us choose to switch off a program when switching to another

I suppose its not very "hot" since c6 can consider value version of n97 mini
