Just wanna ask ,can we do the 3M thingie on a Honda City? Thanks!
*
Can. It's just rubber with double sided tape on 1 side. Only the length needed is different.

Btw,
My forte...when on the headlight or small light, only the front door power window button got light...but not the rear door.

Any Forte 1.6SX owner can verify this ?

That's normal..even for the 2.0. I've asked the same question before  wink.gif perhaps it's designed that way to avoid children from play2 that button (becoz got attracted by the button's light at night time driving)

Thanks for the quick reply bro. wink.gif

how about the fuel consumption of kia forte 1.6?
*
On a mix driving condition, the 1.6 FC should yield around RM0.16-0.18 per KM.

Is our Kumho Solus KH17 a symmetrical or directional tyre ?

Mine 1.6SX...2 tyres are fitted where the DOM is on the outside....while 2 are fitted where the DOM is on the inside.

Any other owner have this issue ?

Gentle reminder

To activate the panic function on the remote...press & hold the panic button (just as u do it for the bonnet).

To de-activate, press & hold again.

If the above don't happen...only SC can help u.

How much comfort will a 16" compare to 17". Say both are lightweight rim ?

Btw, any recommended rim shop in Klang Valley which offer good price for trade-in rim as well as good price for new rim ?

PM me the details. Thanks.

QUOTE(izputra @ Aug 16 2010, 08:59 AM)
I'm thinking the same like u. To change to 16" for better comfort (& perhaps better FC). I've been driven by KFC in his car (with 16" rims), all i can say that it is much better in term of comfort without sacrificing much on the car's look. I will seriously looking forward to replace my 17" rims to 16" after the current tyres worn out. But as far as 16" rims with 5 holes is concern, it is quite limited in design i have to say. Most of 5-holes-rim are 17" & above.
*
Tht's why I was looking to downgrade to 16". More comfort w/o sacrificing the looks. rclxms.gif Thanks izputra for your assurance that 16" do indeed bring more comfort.

Anyone wanna lend me a hand here...recommend me shops which gv good trade-in value for the stocks as well as reasonable price for new 16" + donuts.

PM me name, address & tel no. Err....look for who as well. Many thanks.

My location...Ampang, KL. Klang Valley shop would be fine.

Walao eh, that is big amount..
All this make me think whether Korea technology izzit mature enough compare to Jepun.
Hope to see more forte on the road.
*
No worries. It's very mature.

Vios also have push start button (in Thailand). In fact, pust start button is nothing new in the automotive industry...just that in Malaysia only high-end segment have it.

So, it's nice that Forte have it.

Not the button that we worry. It is the whole keyless system that consist of the control unit that sense the remote proximity and 2 remotes.
*
Just to add more clarity. I was reffering to the entire system...not just the button. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough. smile.gif

Having said that, there are indeed some slight different in the keyless system from one brand to the other brand of car. Forte have been around for 2 years+ worldwide.

If you looking across the many forum around the globe...U'll notice that the keyless in Forte is pretty relliable. thumbup.gif

got some issues with my forte.. got yik yik sound from the seat (driver seat) and also from the door (not sure which parts got problem but the sound is there!)
*
1. yik yik sound from the seat (driver seat) - try not to adjust the height of the seat to the max.
2. door (not sure which parts got problem but the sound is there! - try to adjust the seat belt height to the middle. It has 3 level...use the middle 1.

I was wondering what happen if you exit from the car with the engine running and the key in your pocket? Let say you walk away for about 3 meter?

Open the door, exited & close the door - Car buzzer sound for a while...then stop.

Open the door, exited & keep the door open - nothing.

Cyber,

It's a pleasure seeing you giving the Korean another shot although you have a bad experience before.

Tht's the way to go. See what the current car can offer...not what the brand did in the pass.

The fact that the Forte is "hot" worldwide....so they must be doing something right...this time. wink.gif

stock civic 2.0 vs lacer 2.0 already done...just go to the honda civic forum and search or ask...you can also search the lancer forum...but they r less enthusiastic about the fd2 vs lancer topic for understandably reason lol...

as for sprint booster it does not enchance performance mearly bring wot earlier..at least that's wut  I think...anyway forget the video and just go google the fd2 forum...those hontard are happy about lancer being slower...

and again I state its a fair question to know performance level between car with similar displacement..sure you look at many aspect but this aspect is what I want to know...and again its a fair question..just wait till more feedback loh..guess I just go to the hontard forum and ask them lol...
*
If you are looking at just the performance aspect, the Civic beat the Forte. It's a fair question from your perspective since you are looking solely for performance.

For me, I'll take Forte anytime compare to Civic. I just don't care if the Civic beat me on a straight line...coz I beat them hard by RM20k cheaper. My car look nicer than the dull Civic & have better features than the Civic.

Now that's a fair answer from my perspective. wink.gif

Bro, sent you a PM.

I think once they repair your rims, have to test the balancing on the machine. Alignment probably have to do again but I'm not 100% sure you have to ask them (me not expert la)...  tongue.gif

Agreed... but then you see... this Hamsta used to drive around on 175/70R13 donuts... most holes just whack only. LOL! Nowadays have to "train" oneself to be careful and not drive too fast lor... otherwise sakit hati man when you go over one of our infamous M'sian potholes... that "Oh Shit" moment when you go over it and the sounds goes "GEDEGANKKKKKKK!!!"  cry.gif
