Hi! I'm new here, from Pg but station temporary in JB. Soon to be owner of purplish blue Forte 2.0 (Sgp. edition). Just have a quick check on it today and well, it comes with sunroof, std BK and tint although the last 2 items are yet to install. The rest are all the same like the std version. For that add, items, I've to fork out another 7k! How guys, do you think it worth to that amount of RM?

QUOTE(sallehsi @ Aug 29 2010, 06:56 PM) 7k? are u serious..i tot for sg version we only need to add 3k..additional 4k for bk n tint is not worth it.there are many cheaper options for tint n bk outside..can get discount for myforte members also.. Ya, that's what I think of but it's a case of either you take it or leave it and wait for the std version which they 've no idea when it will arrived! Looking at the situation this moment, it's head you lose, tail you lose. The SA said there 're many buyers on waiting list behind me ready to pounce on it once I decline. So?

QUOTE(sallehsi @ Aug 29 2010, 08:08 PM) bro..i think they SA/dealer want to make extra money lerr..originally only add 3k..u said the bk n tint is still not install..im afraid they put cheapo tint..try ask other dealer/branch..do they offer such things?4k is too much bro Added on August 29, 2010, 8:18 pmor maybe u can try ask at myforte FB group..they can advise ...but the bk and tint were delivered together with the car, only not install yet. The tint comes with 5 years warranty. haven't join the myforte group yet. Anyway, thanks bro! Added on August 30, 2010, 1:01 am[quote=Adin,Aug 29 2010, 09:43 PM] Wah, you get from Naza Kia 3S JB? So, the sg version got MDPS or not? No, from Permas Jaya dealer. About the MDPS, the SA also not sure got or not. Anyway, how to check ourself whether got MDPS or not without driving the car? QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Aug 29 2010, 09:19 PM) ?? What is purplish blue? New colour? I've a feeling you're referring to light graphite which has a bluish hue under sunlight. Don't knowlah what is the std name for that colour but it is different from the 5 std colours of local version. For info, the SA told me that due to limited qty, most of the dealers were allocated 1-2 nos each and they have to make payment first to HQ before delivery. They also cannot choose the colour and not much info were given to the dealers either. I think they faced the same problem like mine in the first place,ie take it or leave it, no question asked. That's why I couldn't get much info from them. Added on August 30, 2010, 1:28 amQUOTE(rhaizo @ Aug 29 2010, 11:46 PM) hi bro, does the Sgp. edition have the push start feature? Yes, it has the push start button. This post has been edited by pg.kia: Aug 30 2010, 01:46 AM

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Aug 30 2010, 04:41 AM) Wantan mee with extra wantan but no char siew... I still think it's light graphite. Available colours of Kia Forte worldwide: White Ebony Black Racing Red (Koup) Lime (Koup) Orange Santorini Blue Cherry Red Bright Silver Titanium Silver Metal Bronze Light Graphite Spicy Red Yes, that's the colour but are u sure it's called light graphite? Graphite to me is something dark grey in colour. Santorini blue maybe? Btw, can u all the 2.0 sx owners here live without the char siew...err , I mean the MDPS?

QUOTE(kelvin918 @ Aug 30 2010, 11:29 AM) Hi, just now got a call from my sa to offer me the metal bronze 2.0 sg version. she told me can get it within 1 week time. But i asked her whether it comes with MDPS or not, she told me yes. I'm a bit confuse now as some said DOES NOT come with but the sa said WITH MDPS. Also, this comes with additional price of RM5800 (moonroof + BK), it this worth the amount? She told me ALL sg version come with BK is that true? Cos i can see from above the picture provided by pg.kia, the sg version don't have BK. Last time another sa offered me sg version with the additional cost of RM3000 only, but don't have BK. Which means that this current offer is a bit pricey for the BK (RM2800), is this price reasonable? Bro, in a dilemma like me right? So many version in price and specs quoted by SA. Yours is Rm5800 and mine is 7k but with tint. That means the tint cost Rm1200. A bit pricy but what to do? Just go for itlah bro, better sacrifice a bit now rather than regret later. If we were to wait somemore, our old car values will depreciate further and the loan interest might rise further and at the end, it's 2 x 5. Btw, will go to check on the MPDS and what kind of tint they're giving. Added on August 30, 2010, 12:59 pm[quote=izputra,Aug 30 2010, 11:37 AM] It is up to your personal preference actually. I think most city drivers will love the MDPS (due to light steering effort), while most hard/fast cornering racing boys will prefer the hydraulic instead (due to more road feel) I agree. QUOTE(FrostLance @ Aug 30 2010, 01:41 PM) Plz report this SA to NAZA, can u tell me who or where. The SA is lying to the core. Can saman her. SG version is only Add 3k. DOES NOT COME WITH BK. The BK is optionally put on by the SA him/herself to get extra $$$. If u get it on ur own u could get below 2k. Added on August 30, 2010, 1:47 pmyou can check with naza hq and confirm that it doesnt not come with MDPS. Even on Paper spec it does not mention MDPS Bro Frost, in my opinion, this issue crops up is due to the existing 2 different entities operating the sales of this cars. One is Naza branches and the other is Naza authorised dealers. Naza can controls their branches but not the dealers. Correct me if I'm wrong.

QUOTE(fahrur_07 @ Aug 30 2010, 04:51 PM) which 1 is better to book? from naza branch or naza dealer? how to differentiate between these 2? Check out from both 1st before you make yor booking, see which one can gives u better perks and services. That's why you hear most owners here got different free gifts from their SA. Like me, got free K emblem only. But for special promotion or offering from Naza Kia like the SG edition, better go to the branch. To differentiate, the branches use Kia Motors while the dealers will operate under their registered company names.

QUOTE(memphis @ Sep 16 2010, 08:48 PM) went to the Permas Jaya dealer yesterday....got 1 blue 2.0 singapore spec with sunroof and fullbody kit....pergghhh...got someone from penang buying it for rm101k......huhu. how long must u wait to get the 2.0? i got question to ask to both 1.6 and 2.0 owner. this will be my 1st car. and every month i need to travel ipoh-jb......so is it really worth for me to buy 2.0 or 1.6 is just enough already...i dont know if the extra accessory is really necessary but i dont mind buying 2.0 either.... the dealer also told me that if i want full bodykit from naza (bumper, skirting and spoiler) from naza i need to add extra rm2.2k....is it worth it? or just get the 3rd party? 1 more, any freebies that we usually get for buying forte? the dealer only give some rarely-heard brand tinted...huhu thanx Yup, the 1 u saw is mine, paid xtra 7k for it. Just got bk and tint beside the sunroof for the xtra RM. I think the dealer easily made 2k xtra from me! What to do, got to take it or have to wait further. Been waiting for 2 months and they offered me the 1.6 model but I refused cos' want to upgrade to 2.0. Anyway, will get the car tomorrow. Wish me luck that the car will serve me well and will never make me regret to pay the xtra.

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Sep 21 2010, 05:21 PM) Yes we're aware of that. Its not the matter of whether ure gonna use those features or otherwise. Its about if ure buying a car for a smiliar price then might as well take 1 which has these features. If u tell me to spend another 20K for some of these features then i would say it doesnt matter. But in this case we have 2 makes of similar price with and without certain features. So the features actually do play a role in the decision making. For me if wanna compare cars before buying, just decide on the car segment you want, then start comparing UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITION, which one can give u better driving comfort, more user friendly and value for money. Anything else is secondary.

Hi guy! Just wanna ask some questions regarding fc. I think my 2.0SX fc is on the high side....13-14L/100km, reading from the meter for the past 2 weeks. In the 1st week when I got the car, the reading was even worse, 15.5L/100km! So far, I've done 600++km and mostly city drive with average speed of 40-50km/h. Care to share what's the ideal fc in such driving condition as mine cos' I've read here before some Fortezens manage to achieve 9-10L/100km. Is it normal the fc is high during the 'breaking-in' process for a new car or should I send it to SC? Regards.

QUOTE(Taipan052 @ Oct 10 2010, 07:28 PM) its absolutely normal. the engine still tight. expect FC improve after 4K and above. you also haven't done your 1K service yet. Thanks, bro Taipan, hope you're right. And to bro KFC, why sound so desperate? Deprive of those things lately ke? Anyway, no thanks, I'll break it myself. And to bro Adin, yup, mine is SE. Thanks for the feedback. So,what's is your fc like? Added on October 10, 2010, 10:20 pmOne more thing, I feel that the car is also sluggish, reluctant to pick-up when step on the accelerator. Is this also normal during initial stage? This post has been edited by pg.kia: Oct 10 2010, 10:20 PM

QUOTE(FrostLance @ Oct 11 2010, 03:59 PM) weird.mine is also the 2.0 SE, pickup is way way better then normal 2.0.. dont know why. Adwin and his engineers and SC staff all confused, checked every parts also same. Prolly different ECU settings.. ur SE terbalik pulak Yah, how come, huh? It's really fantastic to have good pickup and still maintain an ideal fc. You've mentioned here before that your fc is around 8-9L/100km, right? I thought ours are from the same batch, takkan different ECU setting pulak!

QUOTE(izputra @ Oct 11 2010, 04:26 PM) 2.0 cannot adjust the throttle cable as what bro Taipan said coz there are no throttle cable at the first place (2.0 uses drive-by-wire throttle system). I suggest u run your car for at least 5k km for proper engine break-in. After that, if the FC is still the same, try ask SC to reset your ECU settings. Hopefully that might helps. Regarding the sluggish feeling (& reluctant to pick up as u said), my car also suffers the same. As per our technical adviser (Mr. Arul) said, this is due to ECU settings that purposely tuned for good fuel economy. The car is reluctant to pick up coz it reluctant to downshift (high rev/rpm is not good for fuel economy) when u did not press the accelerator hard (or fast) enough. U have to press the accelerator hard/fast enough to trigger the downshift & the car will pick up the speed with ease after that. Our car (2.0 Forte) will also upshift early (at low rev/rpm) if u press the accelerator gentle enough (also for good fuel economy). Even the car will upshift to the final gear (4th gear) at about 40km/h if u ever notice that Due to the nature of a non-racing boy, i prefer this setting though some might not like it Ok, will do as what you suggest and to bear with the situation for the time being. I think mine got to do with ECU setting coz' I feel that , contrarary to what you've mentioned, the car is reluctant to upshift, something like it tends to drag for awhile before shifting especially to 3rd gear. Dahlah pickup kurang, fc tinggi pulak! Anyway bro Iz, thanks alot for the helpful info, hope it benefits others too.
