Hi all, I test drive the 2.0sx forte, feel that at high speed (110-130km/h) the EPS tends to be over-sensitive. Any small degree of turning (steeling) will leads the vehicle to swing. May i know is this normal as compare to other EPS car? Do you think that the sc can re-tune the sensitivity thru' ECU to suit personal preference? Also, platinum dealer has the priority to get 2.0 forte compare to those non-platinum dealers, is this true?

QUOTE(epo @ Aug 20 2010, 10:41 AM)
are u sure, mine is so heavy when hit 160-180km/h so no swing at the vehicle.
but if running 40km/h of course la so light so u can turn it easily...

Dear epo, it's true the steering is tight at high speed, but what i meant is any small degree of turning/ changing will make me feel the car is swinging. Even the sa also felt it, i did asked him whether this is normal for EMPS steering suppose to have, but think he don't know. This is dangerous when cruising on highway. This is overly-sensitive as compared to my old sentra. In fact, i'm very much like this car but worry this is a norm to this forte which can't rectify/ adjust by SC through ECU setting.

I have asked 2 sa from different location, one promised that he can get the 2.0sx within 2-3 weeks upon approving of bank loan. He said that this is because they are platinum dealer so have the priority. The other dealer (non-platinum) said need to wait 2-3 months. Anyone pls give some advice/ opinion/ experience on these matters.

Maybe you have to test drive other 2.0 Forte. Mine i consider as normal, slight turning will not swing the car. At least it feel the same like my previous cars. Only that the steering feels more heavy at high speed & become much lighter during stationary or at slower speed which is good.

As for the 2.0 delivery time, for whatever period they mention, make sure they show their commitments in writing/black&white so that u can take action (get compensation) if the delivery delays. Else, u will end up like many of us here who bought the 2.0. U said that platinum dealers have priority & can deliver the car in 2-3 weeks right? Consider my case, me buying at their very own Nazakia HQ at Kg. Baru, KL on November 2009 only to end up getting the car on April 2010 (in which they promised can get the car latest by January 2010). So, please be extra cautious on their (most probably empty) promises.

Dear izputra,

Thanks for your comments. Maybe this only happened to that test car since you own the 2.0sx, your experience should be more accurate than mine. However, i will try another 2.0 to confirm this. Others 2.0 owners may be you can share your driving experience regarding this to many other potential buyer out there. I have just booked a 2.0 forte today, the sa told me need to wait for 2-3 months. Anyway, since there are high demand (according to the sa) for this car i can only wait. I really like this car even though 10/10 of my friends told me not to go for this forte due to no 2nd hand value, expensive spare parts, blah blah blah, i still placed the order. Hope that my decision is correct.

Also, thanks for others feedback as well.

Hi, just now got a call from my sa to offer me the metal bronze 2.0 sg version. she told me can get it within 1 week time. But i asked her whether it comes with MDPS or not, she told me yes. I'm a bit confuse now as some said DOES NOT come with but the sa said WITH MDPS. Also, this comes with additional price of RM5800 (moonroof + BK), it this worth the amount? She told me ALL sg version come with BK is that true? Cos i can see from above the picture provided by pg.kia, the sg version don't have BK. Last time another sa offered me sg version with the additional cost of RM3000 only, but don't have BK. Which means that this current offer is a bit pricey for the BK (RM2800), is this price reasonable?

Bro, in a dilemma like me right? So many version in price and specs quoted by SA. Yours is Rm5800 and mine is 7k but with tint. That means the tint cost Rm1200. A bit pricy but what to do? Just go for itlah bro, better sacrifice a bit now rather than regret later. If we were to wait somemore, our old car values will depreciate further and the loan interest might rise further and at the end, it's 2 x 5.

Btw, will go to check on the MPDS and what kind of tint they're giving.

It is up to your personal preference actually. I think most city drivers will love the MDPS (due to light steering effort), while most hard/fast cornering racing boys will prefer the hydraulic instead (due to more road feel) icon_rolleyes.gif
I agree.

Hi pg.kia bro, it's true old car value will further depreciate as keep waiting. Another concern is the MDPS, some said same but some said with only HPS. Also, i'm quite curios about why sg drivers don't like MDPS instead of HPS? As the roads condition in sg are more 'city type', and far better than what we have here in m'sia (sorry, i'm just telling the truth tongue.gif ). Anyway, i'm still under consideration to take it or no, becos the color is not the 1 i really like.

Plz report this SA to NAZA, can u tell me who or where. The SA is lying to the core. Can saman her. SG version is only Add 3k. DOES NOT COME WITH BK.
The BK is optionally put on by the SA him/herself to get extra $$$. If u get it on ur own u could get below 2k.

Added on August 30, 2010, 1:47 pmyou can check with naza hq and confirm that it doesnt not come with MDPS. Even on Paper spec it does not mention MDPS

Hi bro, thanks for informed me this. In fact, I don't like BK. The roads condition in our country filled with too many 'traps' so not good to have BK. I also think that the BK is far too expensive compared to some brothers posted in this forum.

True, maybe only for new car owner. But then again, not fair to the existed owners.
