Can't agree more. I still don't get those who are so hung up over the performance of "Civic vs Forte". Want a pseudo-performance car to compare whose d*** is longer, oops I meant whose car is faster, then don't bother buying either la.   

aiyah so many defensive ppl here...I hate civic actually so many problem cause its made by malaysian monkeys CKD, of cause since the damn engine 2 complex for malaysian monkeys brain honda decided its the only part that they will make themselves in  japan which is y the engine is the only thing good about the cifat!! tested it myself!!!..the rest of the car is bad in quality from all the feeback I got...so I heard the forte 2.0 is korea cbu dunt know true or not which is y I have insterest in it...u all 2 serious.lol..its just a question... no need to uptight...and actually I was hoping the forte 2.0 will beat the civic since its lighter and more powerful...wtf is going on!!! I  wanted it to be true so I can buy a faster & cheaper car...damn....

Well, I just passing by... Initially wanted to book Forte 1.6SX but in the end I bough Honda City, overpriced yes but oh well, when you are buying a car, which is a pretty big spending, wife always have some opinions on it.

When I test drove the city, I also tested the Civic and the first moment I drove the Civic out to the road and wow... What a disappointment.  I'm not sure whether Honda never took care of the test drive unit or a lot of customers hav abused it, there are a lot of squeaky sounds in the cabin and definitely not as silent as the city test drive unit. The ride is definitely a little bit bumpier as well.

So yeah, I think overall the Civic is not as comfortable as I would have thought at the premium price of rm130k.

lol...haha maybe you're right...imagine buying a shing new car 2.0 and then get smoke by a 3yrr old 2.0 cifat!! damn that car... how come all these manufacturer produce engine so low in power compare??? cannot be right...I thought many have said the forte 2.0 engine more power and I thought the car lighter as well...how can all these advantage the forte is behind the cifat??? but I think like many have...no body know for sure...gona do more research and test dirve!...

oh yeah test driven the mazda 3...imho damn good car but omfg very the expensive...gonna keep my hope up for the 2.0 forte...

U have forgotten another big factor which is the WEIGHT of the car. When we talk power its always a power to weight ratio that must be compared. Not mere numbers.

Im kinda surprised actually. For all that hype about the Forte & despite being in the market since Nov 2009, its overall sales for this year is still below the Altis sales. That too despite the new Altis being launched much earlier at March 2008 almost 1.5 yrs before the Forte. Im surprised as the Forte has got better specs & pricing than the Altis and usually new models sell well. But i guess the after sales service and resale value factors still weigh down the Forte considerably. I wonder how the Sonata will do in next month's figures.

So the weight is different right? So whats the problem in me pointing out that fact? Learn how to speak properly. If ure immature then refrain from responding. This is an open forum and im stating facts. If u find it a problem relating to those facts in a mature manner then be silent. Just cuz ure a Forte fan doesnt mean facts change. The delays are due to Naza's internal problems as usual. The same problem occured with some other models. The issue about demand is all salesman talk la. Already almost 1 year since the launch and still the same excuse? This excuse may have been valid for the first few months as its with many other car makes as they try to gauge response before ramping up production. But after almost 1 yr there is no such excuse. This problem is nothing to do with Kia but the local Naza dealership itself. Typical Naza.

How expensive is expensive actually? A normal service for a Toyota Vios with fully synthetic oil and changing oil filter and gasket every 10,000km costs RM 293 inclusive of labour and taxes. Plus since my car is old and im a Merit customer, i get free windscreen chemical wash in addition to the normal body and engine wash & silicon for all power windows to aid with smooth operation.

Yes the costs could be cheaper outside but paying less than RM300 for a Toyota SC basic service with peace of mind i guess is worth it.

Yes thats true but i cant provide Altis since i dont own one. Im not comparing with Forte in this post. Im merely responding to the claim that servicing at manufacturers SC is expensive which i dont think so considering the benefits.

at the same figure for forte (if fully synthetic). rm300 (fully synt + gasket + oil filter; inclusive labour and charges and free carwash)

what he meant by expensive if the price for engine oil in which cheaper much outside and this is applied to all SC.

service charge depends on what part they're changing. if just engine oil change should be cheaper at rm70

there is speed limiter for 2.0.. official figure from manufacturer is only 200km/h

When we stop at a slope with gear 'D', meaning you press on your brake while waiting for traffic light or getting parking ticket, then once you release the brake, my experience on other automatic transmission car is that the car will maintain as its original position, but my Forte will reverse abit and you need to press gas pedal so that it won't.

Is this normal?
