May i know what is the width of tire when u using 15 inch? actually i prefer 16" than 15", just worry it doesnt help much.
Any brothers here know what is the cause of tire noise?is it  because of low profile? wide tire (width)? or big diameter (outer diameter of tyre)? i noticed Civic, Altis and Sylphy stock tyre also not that wide, the most widest among them just 205, but our is 215, is it ok if we reduce the width of tyre? will it help on noise reduction? any prefer tyre width?

Comparing the prices of the 2.0L version la... RM38k difference in price. And I think Forte edges the Altis out in terms of some specs....

price for tyre varies from brand name and quality.
cheapo one rm250 can get (SIME). average rm400. highest in the range rm500 and 600 per piece.

so far after 31K km (10months), our stock tyre seems still in good condition.
if you take care your tyre properly (regularly maintain, check rim dent, balancing, alignment all tiptop), 2 years can use with no problem (estimated mileage covered in the region of 60K ~ 80K km (i just guessing only and based on Kumho Solus H17)

then you should expect longer lifespan lah.. hmmm.. really the tyre is hard and the thread still good after 31K km..
but one of my tyre got uneven wear and tear. so i should expect less....

How expensive is expensive actually? A normal service for a Toyota Vios with fully synthetic oil and changing oil filter and gasket every 10,000km costs RM 293 inclusive of labour and taxes. Plus since my car is old and im a Merit customer, i get free windscreen chemical wash in addition to the normal body and engine wash & silicon for all power windows to aid with smooth operation.

Yes the costs could be cheaper outside but paying less than RM300 for a Toyota SC basic service with peace of mind i guess is worth it.

The same reason why they have Wira's and Kancil's as police cars too.
