1.5Ghz? Snapdragon?

A good move by HTC bringing the GSM flavor of Evo. That phone is going to sold like a hot cake.

UK prices tend to be higher. For example a US phone may cost USD$499, UK counterpart may cost GBP460 or so. That's from my simple observation at least. May not apply in this case though but the price does seem logical. I see a lot of new and high end phones costing more than 2.5k these days.

I thought the fast boot is not the actual boot? More like a standby mode though phones are somewhat switched off. Take off the battery and the average Android booting time applies.

It's a pretty common trend among new phones that haven't reach Malaysian shores yet. They will rack up the price really high (either for profit or just because it really is expensive to bring them in) but it will go down just as quickly once Official sets are available.
