yeah i know... he "MIGHT" as well tell me sometime this year. I hav a friend coming back from UK in november leh... if they are going to drag their feet on this I might as well get from UK... decisions... decisions...

I think it could still be hyped even if it had a smaller but better quality screen like Super AMOLED or IPS. I'm not questioning the computing power or flexibility of the Desire HD. But really I think the disadvantages of a bigger LCD screen outweigh its advantages. 164g is really too heavy for me as a phone (which is why I didn't get the N900). Even my N86 at 148g feels like a dead weight sometimes.

Yes, the Desire HD will have a bigger screen but the resolution's still 480x800 so you're not gaining much. To be frank, I'd rather buy the iPhone 4 than the Desire HD even though I loathe Apple's business practices. I spent some time playing with the iPhone 4 just now. It's a really well-designed phone. Much better than the 3GS in both hardware and software (except maybe the metal antenna). I can see why people will buy it. It looks good, feels good, has tons of games to play. The IPS screen really makes my Hero's screen look dull in comparison.

Of course this is my early conclusions based on YouTube and photos of the Desire HD. Maybe in person the screen will look fantastic and the weight and reduced battery life will be worth it. I really prefer Android as an OS to the iOS but still I think most Android phones don't have as much "heart" put into their overall package as the iPhone.

just got mine today. sim free. tired of being rejected for credit check. LOL. got it for £449.95. i play wit HTC HD7 too and kinda like it. cost cheaper and sim free for £380. LOL. hope mine is not defected wit the sensor issue. T_T

I think N8's camera is much better than DHD. If only it ran Android.

has htc ever give super hardware? i wonder why people dont comment much bout the nexus one while htc desire does.. perhaps its due to that its a dev phone..

yup.. despite of those negative comments.. i can bear those things.. seriously if people want a good hardware, they should go for samsung, cuz htc wont give u a super hardware i guess.. its due to their marketing strategy.. they will keep features for their next device.. unlike samsung who only has one flagship per year (consider SGS and its family as one.. as its identical in terms of main hardware and ui)

i dont have to say anything about it.. just compare both of the phones based on specsheet on paper.. but it dosent mean that people would go for the best hardware isnt it? HTC Desire has done me well, i hope Desire HD would give me a good experience too.. i can bear with htc and i love what they have done to the UI

For a 8MP camera, the performance is simply disappointing.
I guess I will only get it if the price is below RM2k.
