issit just me, or does the old htc desire (2nd from left) hv the best looking screen among those in display?   

maybe the settings are different? DHD looks really good in the video tho

after reading DHD's spec. There's no downside for this phone. Is there any downside?

Maybe those are the unlucky one, not all got this problem  like iphone antenna problem . Hopefully it's just some sort of defect phone in production..

Highly doubt that its SLCD but i'd be happy to be wrong . Cause HTC Malaysia said itself that its TFT while Desire Z is SLCD.

Actually, the SLCD has a more natural contract while the SAMOLED's contrast is overblown.
Take a picture, and view it in SAMOLED. Then view it in SLCD. Then finally, view it in any LCD monitor, CRT monitor, and print it out at a photo shop. You'll realise what you see in those printed photos and LCD monitors is more closely to what is shown in the SLCD device, not the SAMOLED.

The SAMOLED has very true blacks, but at the cost of colour accuracy, and text sharpness (due to pentile matrix pixel arrangement)

Spore SRP SGD888 only about RM2,100.  Street price will be even cheaper around SGD780-800, only about RM1,850-1950 only. 

Why need to buy so far from UK at much higher price?

the price from clove(UK) cost 399pounds and after convert,it will be around RM1950..add postage = around RM2100

at least thats the price if ship over to australia here because i no need to pay any tax for importing..

if ship back to malaysia, u need to pay sirim tax,etc...

just got mine today. sim free. tired of being rejected for credit check. LOL. got it for £449.95. i play wit HTC HD7 too and kinda like it. cost cheaper and sim free for £380. LOL. hope mine is not defected wit the sensor issue. T_T

so far i'm very impress with this phone but for battery life.. ... ....    if u are a heavy user i guess u gotta buy extra battery.
as for the screen, i don rly mind and it looks great for me. (but for sure galaxy s is better).

while we're waiting for DHD to come, who is waiting for the Desire HD here? I bought a screen protector already for it.. lol

of course la... hahahha.. sold my htc desire almost 2 months ago now im stuck on nokia 6288 with a broken back cover (replaced with a different colour now its so cacat looking cuz i cant find the same back colour) and a faulty firmware which cant be flashed since its a hongkong set 

3weeks? damn... where did u hear bout that mate? i hear that SG also delayed.. hmm

Desire Z comes with 1300mAH
EVO 4G comes with 1500mAH
iPhone comes with 1430mAH
Galaxy S comes with 1500mAH

Why Desire HD comes with 1230mAH?

It's way lower than the rest of the Smartphone despite it's newer.

This is one of the let down for the phone.

Is the battery upgradeable to a higher capacity?

ya, in the end it still depends on ur usage

and i guess no matter how large of battery,there still people will complain about battery life
