Quoted from HTC website, it says it's Super LCD display.
"HTC Desire HD showcases outstanding multimedia content with its bright 4.3” Super LCD display and Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound and is the first to be powered by the new 1GHz Qualcomm 8255 Snapdragon processor."
Think the DHD has passed google type testing and is set to launch at Oct 22nd at UK. So AP set should be available shortly after Oct 22nd.
Now waiting for the HTC DHD & Z Malaysian launch, rumored to be at end of Oct. Will probably only know the pricing and availability in bolehland by then. Keeping my fingers crossed for an early Nov release by maxis.
With its hardware, i'm quite confident that it'll be able to be upgraded to Gingerbread. They just release the SDK, we'll still have to wait for HTC to implement Sense UI and it's gonna take very long~
the whole point of gingerbread is so that the UI will be leng enuf that HTC, Motorola etc wont have to put in their own customized UI.
no more Sense UI, Motoblur, TouchWiz in the future?
the ip4 display looks a lot brighter n vivid. Guess there's really a big difference between retina display and slcd/tft. Oh well, one really cant have the best of both worlds.
that is the prices converted from Taiwan Dollars. Most likely its SRP will be RM2,399 or RM2,299 the lowest. But Spore announced SRP is only S$888. I just MNP from Maxis to DiGi SmartPlan without contract. I will sign up for 1 year plan if DiGi bundle Desire HD at good price.
Digi & Maxis pun ok. As long as not Celcom. Had a very bad (slow) data-experience with Celcom.
1. SLCD or NO SLCD is not a big fuss anymore.. people who is buying will buy.. just go with the flow or wait for one more year since 4.3 is only released once a year by htc..
2. Batterylife is common.. 15hours was great already, i drain my batt to 30 usually in just 12hours when im using htc desire.. DHD has a bigger screen and a lower mAh so sure its gonna drain faster..
It's still mind boggling why DHD only squeezed in a 1230mAh batt when the desire can fit in 1500mAh
i. Screen not as vibrant compared to the old desire (slcd/tft vs amoled) ii. battery life poorer than old desire by omos one hour iii. average camera performance (normal for htc phones)
waiting for further reviews to c wat other users think
