Anyone here thinking of changing to atom..?.... atom is quite out of my budget thats y i settled for the conventional mini.. furthermore... wifi is not a necessity for me... also, a 11b integrated unit does not give u the scalability to upgrade to 11g....

yup... the atom supports only 11b... prices for dopod 838 is out... i heard it was rm3088 and this was further comfirmed by in-tech... i guessed the atom should be priced somewhat around that price also if not more?...

as atom seems to have much more features than the dopod 838...

gosh... don't understand y imate jam's special edition has 128MB RAM... whereas o2 does not have that...

sumbody,

the 128MB RAM is the imate jam special edition not the o2 special edition... low yat and midvalley has it... but i found out the best bargain is at one place only..

for instance.. the conventional mini, digigadgets selling at rm2188 + xensation x10... and pda experts elling it at rm2188 + jabba bluetooth set... choose urself tongue.gif

seems that atom price stated in cnet is SGP1348 whereas dopod 838 is SGP1288.. atom is more expensive... *surprised*.... maybe more than RM3088

what is xensation x10? is it a bluetooth handsfree? thanks

Xensation x10 is the docker which functions as a charger, sync and also speakers for the mini.. something like the ipod...

The price should be the same right? Or is there an extra few hundred ringgit charged for the "Limited Edition" cert and cool black color.

The price is different by rm200... dont know why.. and don't have the cert... i even called o2 and they dont even know about the existence of any cert and ask me where i heard it from.. *frus*

The guy who answered my call told me.. i discussed with my colleagues and they also dont know about that cert...... Any o2 staff here to verify that???

black o2 is easily scratched... any recommendation for a good casing?... like those plastic transparent case which wraps our hp last time?

i'm currently using the pocket case... quite nice.. but still exposing the entire mini to the possibilities of being scratched... if use condom... then it wouldn't be nice.. as mine is black.. sigh...

new device? my budget is just nice for O2 Mini... too bad....
the limited edition is not black.. its kinda grey-ish.... which i dont like it biggrin.gif

well... black one is the atom... genuine black but it's plastic... i read a review in ppcsg whereby one engineer has tested the atom and gave some review... it somewhat has the feel of the eten... price wise.. expect it to cost around rm3k++ region... shakehead.gif

or u may look for cheaper alternative such as the hp pocket pc... below rm2k but can get integrated wifi... thumbup.gif
