I think there wont be any prototype or official ROM release of WM5 for Mini, is oledi repeating thousand times in forum.xda-developers.com.
Basic hardware requirement is supported but there are no ppl either from Microsoft or O2 specially build those WM5 drivers for our precious Mini. So meaning is NO NO NO, do you think O2 will spend time upgrade our Mini to WM5 or sell more Atom to customers? |

Well I tried this, this only will save up to few MB only, it just to stop the system to install those bloatware/useless software frm O2 like O2 Connect n etc, some of the programs in ext rom still need to install it manually after that, and provided u find it useful.
While a real Big Storage rom, whereby, the whole ext rom installer is not save in the PDA. It will save a lot more juices than the 1st method, which they are saying around 27MB. Well, i'm using this method, and also upgrade it to 1.12 rom and 1.13 radio. For my mini, it does causing few soft reset before, but so far so good, no serious harm has been made. Just want to say that there are many reasons might cause yr mini need to reset more oftenly, mostly is depend what software u install or any registry hack that u have done, as well as the stability of the 1.12 rom and 1.13 radio. Bear in mind 1.13 radio is not officially launch by O2, and even 1.12 rom, it doesn't release publicly in their website. Big storage doesn't is the only reason to cause soft reset tho.
