hey man ...
ohh gr8 to hear tat.. i heard some frens telling me that 910i is much better in terms of stability.. i've used the prev p900 was gd .. but sold it off coz thot wanna buy the 910i.. then dunno y .. wt all the other gadgets out .. i never got2buy it... as in kept on delaying n waiting..hehe... now using my secondary 6100 phone...

but my question.. when i was using the symbion OS.. found tat i'm limited coz of the softwares.. not much games for SOS ..e.g. bejeweled ..  vs those pocket pcs and PALMS...

so hav they gone bettter in terms of apps for SOS? or still like last time ?

PPC more softwares ?

*
before i bought my mini i was considering p910 as well.. but end up buying mini just because i prefer windows mobile to symbian..
i even went online looking for programs for both the oper systems to see which has more and better programs.. windows mobile have the edge in amount of programs and applications..
maybe there is some game which is identical to bejeweled but it isnt named that.. tongue.gif
by the way.. bejeweled is damn fun!! hahaa.. thumbup.gif

To all O2 Mini users there, i have a couple of questions if you guys don't mind

1) Is it true that the O2 Mini don't have built in wi-fi?

2) If yes, is there a add-on card that has both wi-fi and memory built in so that i dont have to keep switching cards if i want storage or wifi

thanks guys..
*
1)mini does not have wifi, onlie o2 xda2s and o2xda2i have built in wifi
2) there is sd wifi card with 256mb or above storage (im not sure whether there is more that 256mb for sd wifi, not at the moment though), but price is very much ABOVE olso biggrin.gif

hope that clear things out for ya..

I am thinking...if i install more software until my build in ram is full, what will happen??? Will my next software automatically be installed in SD card?? Or will my O2 automatically reject new installation??

Pls advise. PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

you can transfer the programs you downloaded to your 'storage card' to free some space on the mini's internal memory but the fuss about it is you have to access file explorer and start the file from there.

thats what im doing in my mini now. its troublesome to open programs at times but at least my mini runs smoother. thumbup.gif
but programs in my mini which are taking up space in the internal memory if i put it in windows are mainly games, so in order to play games i have to access file explorer to load it.

for programs for mini just google 'ppc programs' or go to pocketgear.com. its a cOOOL site for ppc.

anyone know how to convert mp3 to ring tones?
if anyone have SEALED WITH A KISS ringtone? mind to share ?
*
you cant use mp3s as ringtones, mini onlie supports wav and wma song files for ringtones. if you open the menu got a mp3 file you don have to option of 'set as ringtone', but for a wav or wma file, you can.

my advice is to convert mp3 files to wma files using specific programs you can google for and using them as ringtones.
wav files takes up toooooo much space. for a song of 1 minute, a wav file can size up to 46mb while a wma file is under 1mb.

you can try using Audacity to edit the length of the songs as ringtones. its damn cool and easy to use!! thumbup.gif
highly recommended since you can edit songs to a smaller file size and want just the nice part of a particular song and cut away the unwanted parts.

dun worry...try looking for the patch. I don't have the link for it but it has been brought up in the forum b4..try searching the earlier pages of this forum..
its a simple program(very small) that allows you to use any mp3 as your ringtone. after installing it just hold your stylus on the mp3 and at the new pop up window, there will be a new option "use as ringtone". I hope I explained it right. smile.gif

p;s Did you buy you mini locally. Its weird that yours cannot use MP3 ringtone ler. Did you flash your new rom properly?

Anyway GOOD LUCK smile.gif
*
thanks mate, realie appreciate it. but does the bug onlie affect mp3 ringtones thingie onlie or will affect the functionality of the phone?

i bought it at pda expert, sunway, don know about the flash thing sad.gif

You're O2 Mini came stock with the 1.10 ROM. O2 released a new ROM(With Some Bugs fixed) in May. To change your old ROM to the New one, You'll first have to register at www.seeO2.com. After filling up and including your phone's IMEI No. you would have finish registering. Next go to product updates for your Mini. They'll show you the new update. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. sweat.gif

"THE BUG" might only be affecting the MP3 issue or It could be affecting other things as well. I myself have a bug in my MINI. The assigned pictures and ringtones in my Photo Contacts will jumble up and mix about causing people to have other's ringtones or pictures. I have yet to resolve this...  sad.gif

thanks so much for your help
btw, recently my mini is sending 2 msges at once, is this caused by bugs as well? i rememeber somewhere in the earlier post someone mentioned about this but 62 pages is too much to scroll across. lazy tongue.gif

Try jumping pages tongue.gif. This problem is due to u closing the message folder too soon while its sending. There is a solution is you're using SPB pocketplus. You must go into the options for SPB nad into the "Close Button" options. Once there go into exceptions and ADD "tmail.exe" from the windows folder.

alright, thanks mate.

do you text alot on your mini?
i have a great program to share, damn cool!!
check this out http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=4847

im using this program now and its awesome, very easy to use. much easier compared to using your stylus and poking the small little alphabets.

if you hadnt try, give it a go. thumbup.gif

Carmen: Bought it over at 'bluetooth innovation' Lowyat Plaza. I;ve checked with some other shops...some going for RM 2280 but no bt. I guess an extra RM19 for it is ok. Not sure if there're other shops selling any lower tho.

Guys any good programmes to recommend?
So far I have SPB PocketPlus3, SPB2Play, SPB Time
Any softwares for alarm clocks? The built in ones is really lousy.

HTH  smile.gif

try spb full screen keyboard for texting, much much easier.
