I m very proud of our team despite a little disappointed with the scoreline. We could have get full three points if we can hold on that few minutes more.
Few positives to take:
Agger , Gerrard and Mascherano played their hearts out. Agger, in particular. The scene of him insisting to get onto the pitch was very touching. What a fighter.
Gerrard and Cole link up very very well.I love how they flick the ball to each other when the opponents close them down.
As for Ngog, great finishing and good header.Unlucky not to get the 2nd when his header was blocked by someone's leg.His goal was great.Very torres alike.
Overall, I m very satisfy with our performance given it is a strong team and we were playing with 10men for a half.Pity Kuyt though...What a kick on his *private part*...

QUOTE(Rabbit Lover @ Aug 17 2010, 12:15 PM) Seems like Diego Cavalieri's time in Anfield is short...Brad Jones is gonna be our no.2? That's the only way we can get enough HG players and since Jones is going to be no2, he wont complain too much,no?Poor diego, if only he is HG player.

QUOTE(LukeMjstc @ Aug 18 2010, 01:01 AM) ditto. bt not agger on the left, this leaves our left flank threatless. I think if Agger was given permission to go forward, we would be very dangerous on the left especially given how dangerous Agger's long shots are.Too bad, he hasn't had the pace.Would be a good short term replacement instead of a long term one.

QUOTE(leftist @ Aug 18 2010, 04:38 PM) kelly usually fill in as a leftback..interested to see him at rightback for the 1st team..i think he'll do a decent job there as we saw in lyon game He actually made his debut as rightback against Lyon last year.He only played in leftback this preseason. All the while,he had been playing as right back.Correct me if I m wrong.

QUOTE(stargazer_7 @ Aug 19 2010, 12:35 AM) SourceOMG..Agger concussion until he had no memories of the Arsenal game.. QUOTE "He is resting. He was at the club this morning, I was talking to him, but he's not able to do much at the moment because he's suffering from headaches. Even something as simple as reading a newspaper or watching TV can give him a headache so he needs to take it easy. I know how he feels doing all these press conferences!" Oh god and there he stood up like a hero, insisting on getting back on the pitch.Bravo.What a fighter!

I wonder if Pacheco will get a nod tonight...What's the point of him getting no 12 if he is not given any match time?

QUOTE(vreis @ Aug 20 2010, 11:28 AM) I would give him a chance to have a go since he dont really got off last year. As for Pacheco, If he's got ard 10 games this season, its already a progress Doubt he'll get much chance anyway since Stevie most likely revert to Cole position when he's unavailable, not to mention others that can operate there . Anyhow, for those 3 link players, its not too much considering how injury prone 2 of them are Theoretically different position but technically both likes to operate behind strikers I think he will have his fair chances of match time in cup matches as RH has been repeating about prioritizing the premier league and resting key players to have a long run in the league. In other words, pacheco and co will have their fair amount of chances in FA, Carling and probably Europa League.Well, he is given no12 for a reason, isn't it?

QUOTE "You could say I was unlucky against Arsenal but the referee (Martin Atkinson) had a great game and that was that. The foul was not malicious and I didn't mean to go and hurt Koscielny.
"I apologise if he was hurt because that is not my nature. But the referee had to stick to the letter of the law and he had no choice but to send me off." What a man....Cole, u have my respect!

QUOTE(azrulkamal240 @ Aug 21 2010, 12:02 AM) Jovanovic got the pace and dribbling skill that u required a lot for a winger, Skeleton202.... Dun u see how he played 1-2 with torres and then unlucky failed to beat Turkish's keeper on 1on1 situation, for me that is just awesome! u can't expect Riera to do the same thing as Jova did last nite!!! Riera was pretty effective during his 1st season though...Dribbling and beating players...Probably one of our best left wingers in years...
