Just a small note for those who is new to terminating the cables. I borrowed a crimper and got some generic RJ45 connectors. Turned out to be a mess and wasted several connectors and still ended up with the signal was all scrambled because I didn't know how to terminate the 8 wires correctly to the connector.
So I took to the internet to learn more and then got some better AMP connectors (RM1.20 a piece), a wire stripper (this is cool, only RM4.50 a piece
The AMP connectors made it easy to push the wires in easily and the wiring turns out to be straight-through connection. The cable tester will confirm when all the lights flicker in sequence from both ends. Since a newbie like me wired up all 26 m of the cables first before terminating them (not so smart move), the tester has a detachable unit which let me test both ends even if it was 26m apart, how nice
