I got the device last week and tested it with the Cat5e cables provided in the package and it worked right out of the box.
However I wanted to use my existing concealed LAN cables during renovation 5 years back because my wife does not allow to lay exposed cables around the house. The problem challenge is that the LAN cables were installed to reach different locations and no direct path from the living room to the AV room upstair. So I got to make a few interconnects and after some hardwork in connecting those LAN cables different locations, I finally got it to work last night !!
Here are my comments :
1. The device is surprisingly small and light, and it doesn't required external power supply. I actually had doubt when I first saw it and was told no need power supply.

I thought the HDMI extender need a 5V supply which is provided in the form of 5V power adapter. Which means it require a power point(or two)to work. Can the TS clarify whether the 5V power supply is needed at the source end or the receiving end or both units? Thanks. However I wanted to use my existing concealed LAN cables during renovation 5 years back because my wife does not allow to lay exposed cables around the house. What if I need to split into 2 more displays? Meaning from the Beyond unit (one display nearest Beyond) to 2 more displays upstairs?
