SE have problematic joystick after heavy abuse for a year or so, while I never had Samsung before because I find it hard to use. But honestly speaking, how often do yourphone broke or how often do you upgrade them? I haven't had any hardware failure except for battery due to overcharging.

It's really a subjective because hardware failure is mostly due to user negligence. My bro bought a Twinhead, and it never broke once in 3 years. It had a Radeon 9700 and the steel based body was so hot to touch but it never broke down. Finally one day it died, well, in my hands when I tried to mod the broken fan myself. People says Acer sucks, yet I have no problem at all. Nearing 3 years, the only failure was the right side speaker because I had them at full volume and they were like 2 to 3 times louder than some other brands at best.
