I think any OS also can run on mobile phone. The hardware itself only recognise 0 and 1. It does not care which OS, as long as you can code the drivers for it to work, it will work. Thats why Nokia failed. Nokia sells phone, not platform/OS.

Geng.. U dare to conclude a still biggest phone maker fail..

This is terribly wrong. If it can work out like that, someone should code the driver and install Windows 7 on it. Or perhaps OSX.  doh.gif

I want to see how window run on a cell plateform... Drool..
If don't sell OS/platform fail, Htc, samsung fail too.. Their OS don't sell.. tongue.gif

The Hoo-Haa of SGS is only the Super AMOLED 4" and it's good browsing experience. Only both of these should keep me comfy for 6~8 months. If Gingerbread offered more features, then maybe I will use SGS a little more longer.
*
Hummingbird powerful... It take snapdragon duo core to match it performance.....

Nokia phone offers alot eventhough it's mid-range compare to other high-end manufacture phone. What it doesn't have is high-end spec, but it's mid-range alright. So it's OK.

Wat is nokia offering a lot ah? Mind to tell?

QUOTE(andrekua @ Aug 8 2010, 03:13 PM)
Nokia phones are ok, but we are in Symbian forum, are we? Nokia owns Symbian, so anything that didn't went right, I blame them, is it not?

The only reason I kept coming back to Nokia is because of the keypad. I used to be a travelling salesman, covering 400km at worst per day. From one shop to another, and with the calls coming in and out, WM touch device was a nightmare. Even the Nokia 7710 was not spared. I had to use one with keypad but it was never my first choice. Finally, a perfect phone came up, SE M600i. It was a good 1 1/2 year before I decided to move on to 5800. This may sound utterly stupid but except for the GPS, there is nothing that pleased me. I'm so pissed with the calculator and the notes. The small qwerty also a big turn off (in normal mode). The one thing that I hate most in 7710 and WM is back, small tab to scroll contact list, which was a huge problem until KS came. The stupid qwerty stayed. There's more, like expensive app and so on.

Yes, Android in stock form, still annoys me, as calculator and handwriting notepad was my essential everyday tool. At least there's free app which covered that. It's not by any mean best, but better. I actually prefer IPhone UI, and I never denied it. Why I choose Android? Flash Player. My experience with 7710 tells me to avoid N900. It has proven true.

It might sound rude, but stuffs like camera, video calls, usb on the go, video out does not excite me much because at the end of the day, I don't have time for it. For pretty boys and girls, who dressed nicely and work in office, can utilise these stuffs when there is nothing better to do.

Nokia holds the key, and it's really up to them. Someday in the near future, where mobile phone processor has got enough speed, Nokia really shine with everything ranging from presentation, movie, conference meeting, as the result of their experimentation, but for now just stick to the basic. The phone and its usability.

My Acer has the fragile 8600M GR and still working despite tens of thousand of recall.

Based on wat u said, I think u choose all wrong phone... U should go for a bb... Bb phone hav great kb n it hav the best non touch scrolling. It scrolling r very similar to a notebook's scrol pad.

andrekua, if android is good for you. Then don't say it's better than symbian when you're here in Symbian Phone-Specific Discussion. I have both type of phone. Both done good for me now. Happy?

Haha. A BB is too much for me. What I did is routine job, servicing clients, taking their orders. I need a simple calculator but I need the memory function. I need the notepad to take orders and email it back to office instead of writing it down on paper and fax/call back to office. Why do I need BB? I don't need appointment scheduling. I just wait for them or switch to a nearby client before coming back.

Base on wat u said now, a symbian suit u well oh... Why u need anything else wor... Hahahahah...

Me too don't like n8=3gs+extra casing desgin. Some more it's thick by today standard.... Slick wise, nokia have never match other manufacturer... Samsung have so many metal casing + ultra slim design phone long time ago.. Like U600 etc... Very sexy design...

Recently e series like e71 win back a bit on this....

I'm more bothered by design of the top and bottom than the thickness. Looks so dated, not very stylish at all, very 'kasar'.

today smartphond esp touchscreen phone are all about u have ur screen as dominate the entire phone as possible...

that mean u have phone with as big screen as possible but the physical size of the phone as small as possible...
