if u buy per kg usually more expensive from ADA prepacked... ADA big bag is 9kg...

hmm i dont think my soil is enough for my plants. problem is that my tank has fishes already. is it advisable to add in the soil?

better not, if not making the water very unstable and acidic. coz usually when u add ADA soil to the water the pH value will drop

ermm any suggestions what i can do? cry.gif

i was thinking of removing my fishes and the same water into another tank 1st. then i add the soil and check the parameters 1st sweat.gif

haha. Chemicals are by far the worst method to alter your pH... Try adding wood, ada soil , remove certain rocks , or peat.

haha felt relieved hearing that  blush.gif I thought something wrong ... lack of nutrient or what.

Anyway, does otto helps to clear green algae? Spotted a few dots of green stuff on the glass of my aquarium, but the otto no help to clear that spot one  hmm.gif

im having a 1 feet tank using a 55w light.i have 1 hong kong pleco, 1 CAE, 2 otto, 2 CRS and 1 amano shrimp. i started noticing those algae recently and i suspect its due to insufficient co2. was running on a 1bottle DIY co2 before and 8 hour photoperiod. now i use 2 bottles and reducing my photoperiod to 6 hours to try and control this algae.anything else i should try? hmm.gif
