QUOTE(freestyler87 @ Jul 14 2010, 09:08 AM) helangkawi, every plant need co2, as we human need o2.. it just matter about abit or alot... in planted tank if did not inject co2 in the water still have co2 but not as much as you inject in it for photosynthesis co2 is one of the important thing to let plant grow healthy and fast... QUOTE(shortpants @ Jul 14 2010, 09:09 AM) congrats on V5.. thanks for both well replyhelangkawi -> all planted tank must have co2 supply as for the plant to perform photosnthesis.... the only different is on plant type + amount of co2 needed for them to grow... if u go for low tech low light plant eg moss, u can get to ignore co2 supply or u can just diy... but if u r looking for nice plants, co2 is a must and presurised co2 is the way to go for long term saving... hmm..looks like i need to start this new venture hobby with a small tank...then put some soil and sand...and choose the plant that have minimum co2 requirement i must say, ur guys have really amusing planted tanks, feel like really in the nature |

just went to local fish shop somewhere in ampang, near to mrr2 highway (got 1.5 foot banjar red and 9 foot aquarium at the shop main entrance)
i noticed got 1 co2 device, just a small tank, like a ridsect or something, price tag RM58, the shopper say, just press 1 for a day and it will supply enough co2 for planted tank and another option is automatic 1, RM148, refill available is it ok to use that instead of big co2 tank? |
