err... moe81
im shocked with the diy thing you doing... but i dont encourage you to screw the driftwood to the stainless steel plate... as they might rust... i know you will say STAINLESS STEEL... for a long period of Chemistry Dosing AKA Fertilizer it will RUST... and if doesnt... it will affect your water ph or condition too.. if im you i wont take the risk... it will have alot of dilemma happen later.. about soaking the driftwood, i dont think you need as you bought from fish shop... they have soaked it already... except you get it from wild you need soak urself... =) |

no point of going DIY chiller... as you DIY it will cost more than you buy a proper chiller... the only DIY thing you cannot do is the Chiller...
for 2nd Hand Chiller rm 600 for 2 feet tank... |

what's the point of buying expensive thing as it can hike up to RM100++ for DIY chiller?
the cons of it might be short circuit or not sustain or etc problem happen latter on... why not just invest in a proper chiller? lolz... well i just give out point of view... =) no offence... good luck in DIYing CHiller |

moe81,
Just some opinion no offense ok? 1, should use different size of rock to separate the white sand smaller rocks better looks natural 2.one mistake that every aquascaper does.. 3:1 golden ratio is apply wrongly as the river should not in the MIDDLE... 3.Planting Rotala is wrong too... should not plant red, green , red ,green... concentrate the red one in the ratio (golden thinggy) as your eye will catch attraction on that place... 3.arrangement of wood should be follow the natural feel as the the wood bending should be natural not you go make it other way round ( this hard to explain in words for me , if i able to show you face to face easier to understand ) 4.should not plant it flat... i mean make behind soil higher "Slope" 5.Dont put in fauna yet as your cycle haven complete... you may put fish after a week if you using cycle bacteria Good Luck... Regards, Kenneth |
