i got error blue screen error code 002.
Do i need update firmware ?

u got error 002 coz u don't have the latest updated firmware. so just update it lor. the wii actually makes the steps very simple like abc. but if u modded it, its not abc anymore. so either you send to shop, or fix it yourself. send to shop maybe about 50 to 100rm or even more. it depends also. if fix it yourself is best u go to those hacking sites to learn. coz lyn is not good at giving hacking info. and also lot of policeman to saman us if we cross the line.

I'm just wondering, how to unmod a JP Wii?

Kasi reboot itu Wii.

As in, format it back to factory settings.

I remembered there was an option in Wii Settings that allows you to revert back to factory settings.

btw, this option to format wii is for what? why is it needed?

kyo. the option to format does not unmod your wii i believe. it is just fromating the data storage of the wii. so it should not touch your firmware update, coz firmware update is not data storage, its system.

I've yet to really ascertain on the function. But i'll check back soon about this.

Added on July 12, 2010, 4:07 pmOk, after reading around, i'm a little more convinced that you can delete and restore the wii to its factory settings. You'll be deleting everything in your console, except for that which was already made in the console (internet channel also gone).

If you've bought games, just download once more to the console. The firmware I believe should be intact.

For mod wii, DUN FORMAT n restore factory setting!!
it will bricked ur Wii!!!

For Ori wii, tis is ok, but not for Mod wii!!!

if ur wii bricked,
tis need Rm1xx to repair!

Unsoftmod the Wii.. there's no reason for me to keep the homebrew channel now seeing that I won't be using it anymore

If ur wii is US/JPN, not the transsexual 1, it is easy to unmod.

just using any title deleter to delete the custom ios 1st, like cios 249, 250(not official ios).

Then delete ur HBC channel, update to latest firmware like 4.3, ur wii will bcum as clean as virgin...

P/S: if u update official 4.2 firmware, ur cios will stubbed and no longer can use. For me, i prefer delete 1st.

if u softmod, u will have this custom ios in ur wii firmware for running backup...

I know I installed something CIos, but don't really know what I did.. My FW is 4.2 I think.. unless 4.3 came out in end April because that's the last time I update.

If u update official 4.2 firmware, ur cios no longer can use. So ur Wii will go bek to Virgin.

I updated official 4.2, then mod.. can play imports

icic, 4.2 still can mod, but once u update to 4.3 u cant mod(at the moment)...

since i make it can play wiiware from SD,

well, to be a little precise in the 002 error...it's your channel that needs updating...not your wii firmware

wii firmware issues only applies to the wiiware games...whenever it's a disc based game, it usually is your channel...not the firmware...=)

probably things will be a lot clearer if you google it as maybe what i told you is probably the final line before i cross the modding talk territory...lol

002 error means wii lack of certain ios, also means ur wii firmware is outdated...cant play certain games...

terrykok is god, he know how to make 3.2 firmware like 4.0 firmware...

when your wii is softmodded, the version number is not relevant. what is relevant is what system files u install. put it this way, with a lot of hardwork, u can even make your wii play ps2/xbox games. people have not done it yet coz its not worth the trouble, and not because its impossible

1st u must have cIOS 14 for emulate the NAND.
after that, use some other homebrew, then u can play Wii ware game from SD card.
the homebrew call Triiforce. i shoudnt say many at here, if u interested, u can google it or PM me. but of coz, if u already 4.x. then no need to use tis.

i was at 3.2 and updated it myself to 4.0...anyway, 4.0 is much better than 3.2, as other than the SD card function update, it installs a few missing IOS needed for some wiiware games as well

and yes, i repeat myself, firmware is irrelevant for disc based games and the main reason behind that is that ninty does know that not all consumers connect their wii to the internet, hence, disc based games just stay on 1 firmware itself...kinda like a separate requirement for some specific IOS

oh well, if you do try to update your wii's firmware (if it's a modded korean), then congrats...you upgraded your error code as well...to a 003 error...XD
