Nice if this true Wondering how much the die size increase sourceThis post has been edited by zerorating: Aug 28 2010, 01:40 PM

QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Oct 3 2010, 06:18 PM) If not mistaken, that's for notebooks. and mini factor pc as well, some say that zacate gpu will be equivalent to hd5450..maybe after this no more low-end gpu market anymore. at 18w, it is awesome some zecate apu benchmarkThis post has been edited by zerorating: Oct 3 2010, 07:37 PM

QUOTE(takuyaSH @ Oct 20 2010, 01:12 AM) Basically tessellation is made out of polygons =3 we still hardly seen the different between dx9 and dx11 except unigine benchmark, normal mapping technique puts really well on making low poly to see like high poly model..if the shader doesnt exist, maybe we can see graphic card with 256 rops already where are shader model 5.0 anyway This post has been edited by zerorating: Oct 20 2010, 01:23 AM

QUOTE(mnaaimf @ Oct 20 2010, 01:34 AM) which is better? ati or nvidia? I heard ati got a bit problem compared to nvidia and the setting in ati quite difficult than nvidia. Is it true? Correct me if Im wrong. yup its true, nvidia give many customization inside nvidia control panel compared to ccc,but most people can still live without it to me, ati produce better hardware for user (power, performance per mm, reliability) and their driver starting to improve really nicely. Believe me, nvidia didnt even care if your obsolete hardware got issue running on newer driver that was made for newer hardware. In here who even can forget about 8400/8600m gt timebomb issue This post has been edited by zerorating: Oct 20 2010, 01:55 AM

QUOTE(mnaaimf @ Oct 20 2010, 02:04 AM) yea you're right ..I never experience in nvidia before..Just want to know which is better..mostly my mate prefer me go for ATI.. well i do recommend my friends to buy gtx460 before, but since hd6850/6870 are coming, no more reason to get gtx460 (except if you really care about physx or folding@home)

Ohhhhh YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH wait for 1ghz toxic version 44c at 23% fan speed on idle (in china) seems nice but full load temp of 78c seems to worry about, anyway stock hd6870 already beats oced gtx460 at 900mhz This post has been edited by zerorating: Oct 20 2010, 10:07 AM

QUOTE(8tvt @ Oct 20 2010, 09:57 AM) those who have 58xx series.. no point upgrading.. what's the major changes? hd6870 are not highest-end card like hd5800series, its targetted for gamers sweet spot area similar to 4800series before. This card are meant for users that use slower card than hd5800 series. The difference are better tessellation performance and 3d support Current hd5800 series users can wait for hd6950/hd6970 or wait for southern island This post has been edited by zerorating: Oct 20 2010, 10:09 AM

QUOTE(shinjite @ Oct 20 2010, 05:46 PM) GTX460 is definitely sweating.... it does, u need to oc it to more than 900mhz(warranty void) to get same performance with hd6870, the only hope to get market share by reducing the price

QUOTE(tech3910 @ Oct 21 2010, 12:04 AM) people assume it dat way bcoz: pcie lane - supply 75w 6 pin connector - supply 75w 8 pin connect - supply 150w total = 300w just bcoz people see 6970 is 6+8 pin, people assume it's gonna draw 300w. ATI AMD Radeon guys simply just wanna mek sure it has room to oc la. just mean it using 8+6 pin power connector, doesnt mean it will draw 300w, like people say, gtx480 tdp are 300w, but real load are 225w. Some people said that hd5850(2x6pin) can be run on one 6 pin connector, but it doesnt have power left for oc
