Won't be long. If Geforce GTX460 impacts the Radeon HD5870 Price Tag, then the Radeon HD6000 might too.
It will be around RM 1000 lastly.

I don't think GTX460 can impact HD5870's price tag. AMD has no reason to drop the price.

hi , why when i play games such as GTA IV about an hours. then the game will stuck and no display . have a display but brown color but game sound still have. do u think my 5850 problem ?

I didn't think the performance matters by now. Maybe in a few months time, the price of HD5850 (the former best bang for buck)will drop eventually if more people buy GTX460. The price gap between HD5870 and HD5850 will be huge and considering that it's the best single core card in HD5000's line, ATI will have no choice but to drop it's price to reduce the gap.

And maybe GTX460 price will drop again

i experienced that also with my prev 5770.It's Driver issue for me.Fixed it with updated/latest drivers. Works for me though.

the reason price is not drop yet is bcoz demand still > production. in business term, no point reducing price, better mek max profit.
bcoz of the TSMC 40nm problem, ATI cant get all the fab dey want.
if ATI can get all the fab dey wan, production will skyrocket & price will fall.
dat is y moving to GF is a good thing. bcoz it let ATI increase production in the future.

Hope ATi don't do something as bullshitty as 'launching' a 5860 to bridge the gap between the 5850 and 5870 instead of just reduce the price of the 5870, ATi is generating reasonable revenues for the 5870 at it's current price, dropping it only possible if the production is more than the demands...but as you all know 5870 is in high demands worldwide despite it's price tag...

The 5830 is is the 'hot seat' for price reduction, the 5850 is 50/50 for a major price reduction, probably less than RM100...

As for the 5770, not sure if it will get a decent price cut because from statistics, the 5770 has a pretty big demand in market, could be more than the 5850 because logically most people (moderate to average gamers, or within their budget, etc.) tends to get the 5770 because the 5850 is too pricey (the price gap is too wide)
