FIFA world cup final now on. Both teams not on home soil. How do they choose who gets to wear their home jerseys?

not really. already predetermined by the winners of previous games etc etc. the one on the left usually denotes home team, with the right away.
for friendlies, this can be decided by the federations themselves. |

That would be the most probable case, where left(home) wear their home shirt while right team wear their away shirt, if the color clashed. So far, that would be the case for World Cup.
However for other competition, I think the home team (left) got the upper hand on choosing which jersey they want to wear. An example would be Champions League final Milan Vs Liverpool, where Milan is the home team yet they chose to wear their all-white kit. As for toin coss, its only applicable for FA cup as far as I know. Example would be Everton Vs Chelsea and Chelsea Vs Portmouth. Correct me if I am wrong, coz I am still new in football.
