@william: hi, you got any basic guidelines on what angle bounce
to use when the subject is at this xxx distance from you? Also, usually when you use flash, do you use A, S or full manual? I'm kinda noob when it comes to flash icon_question.gif

use the rule of reflection. the angle of incidence equals to the angle of reflection. so another words, the flash should be directed to somewhere in the centre of you and subject given that the flash is in bounce. i usually use A in normal shooting, and S if i want my shutter to stay at around 1/25 ~ 1/40 to take in ambient light. manual in cases where both the former modes give wonky metering results.
