QUOTE(lwliam @ Jul 19 2010, 05:11 PM) dust on sensor will be easier seen when using a small aperture. most of the case, the dust will be on the sensor instead of the lens, as sensors are charged and attracts particles much easier than lenses. that's why i plan to send it to the service centerwithout proper knowledge, do not touch the sensor on your own as u could do irreversible damage to the sensor. |

why octopus? World cup withdrawal syndrome?
jokes aside, do test the CPL at the widest setting of the lense you are going to use it with i had a kenko, vignets from 18mm till 24mm so it limits the how much scenery that i can take in |

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Jul 23 2010, 04:30 PM) nola..it is the cheapest brand and quite good quality ma....will vignet 1?.. CPL at typically thicker than UV filter mahu dint say i really dono...any other thing to check for?...for ND8 le? those expensive CPL won't have this problem though cause they are thinner if you mount the CPL in front of a UV filter, even worse |

QUOTE(mastering89 @ Jul 26 2010, 02:29 PM) yup i love the sal16105 for its wideness (on APSC) and sharpness, but i rarely shoot landscape and love potraiture more. how about the tamron SP90 since you are ok with ~100mm rangebefore this i used to own a 50mm 1.8 and at that time dont like much of the wideness. but now start to liking it because the 28mm prime is quite too wide for potraiture for me. if want take body + head potrait need stand quite close to the subject tried the 85 and 135mm during TT, love the 85mm more but sadly the 85mm for alpha is either MF or CZ i heard the minolta 100/f2 (or something like that) is good but rare sal55200 sure does punch above its weight |

wow, the suggested price for the new SAL35F18 and SAL85F28 is very good
and the SAL85 with .6m minimum focus in impressive too, now left to see how the IQ is like but then, none can be the 85mm f2 for value |
