@ William : Yeah shouldnt be a problem, he said the shop in Osaka has like 1000 pieces of M42 lens, have to slowly see 1 by 1.

He should be going soon (sometime this year) biggrin.gif

Sure thing, hope the 85mm F2.0 can fill in for my next portrait lens.

RM150ish for the lens, add RM80 for the AF confirm chip + mount. Settle!

I just read a review of this lens, the photos dont seem too bad.

zstan : Plus minus should be there, cause Japan Yen may rise/drop at that time. But the AF confirm chip + mount, I'm still looking for somewhere to buy it.

Saw it on Alphanatics RM89. Anyone know where to get all these besides Alphanatics? Abang cjlai got? biggrin.gif

PM received biggrin.gif

The colours dont seem so nice at F2, maybe a little bit of editting can make it better.

How to spot the sharp bokeh edges?

nope. it depends on the aperture blades.

generally, the more blades the smoother the bokeh. correct me if i am wrong.  laugh.gif

Imagine a 16 aperture blade lens. drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif 1 of the M42 lens has that.

cassplayer: Eh the link you gave is for the Jupiter-9 85mm F2.0 I was talking about! As far as I know the brightest M42 lens at 85mm was a F1.5, and the existing Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm F1.4 does not come in ZS (M42 mount).

http://www.zeiss.com/C12567A8003B58B9/Cont...125710E005F5A21

Note that this is a different optical design from the Carl Zeiss Planar T* 85mm F1.4 ZA for A-mount.

Yeah I did a search on that lens. Not too bad actually biggrin.gif

Now, to search for 135mm f3.5 also.

There was also a 50mm f0.95 at the shop in Osaka brows.gif

Will ask my friend to find as many mint ones as possible. And also if his bag can fit that many wink.gif

And also, if Japan Yen hasnt rised till crazy at that time. The last time he checked it was around RM150 after conversion.

Get the adaptors locally, price doesnt run far.

But for the 85mm 2.0, my friend already noted down, he will find as many as possible good/mint condition ones.

Those with scratch on the glass/coating/dirt in element etc etc he wont take.

As for f0.95, he has to go back to Osaka and see how many units there are over at the shop.

135 f3.5, is special order. No one else can order laugh.gif

Bulk or not, cannot confirm anything. Japan so far away laugh.gif

But he will MSN me as soon as he goes to the shop and checks out the available quantity.

Hope got enough for all of us biggrin.gif If not, those who asked me first will get to take it.
