In conjunction with Google Day @ MMU Cyberjaya this month 14th-16th, I am a part of a team of Speech Data Specialists representing Google to collect voice samples from the public. This voice sample may be used by Google in their future projects, which might or might not involve Android phones.

My purpose in starting this thread is to find volunteers. We're in need of voice samples, and any Malaysian is welcome to help.

If you stay around USJ area (or Klang Valley for that matter), I'm willing to meet you at your designated location. We'll need to make appointments as time slots are limited.

Oh, and did I mention volunteers get a free Google WOM T-Shirt? If you want to volunteer, please PM me.

If you don't know about Google Day @ MMU Cyberjaya already, do visit http://creative.mmu.edu.my/2009/fcmgoogle.html. If you want, you are most welcome to come attend our public lectures. The time and venue are stated in the URL above.

The recording will take about 40 minutes. Don't worry if the recording sessions are full. You don't have to register to record your voice samples. Registration is for the public lectures.

If you stay near to Cyberjaya or Klang Valley, I can meet you at a designated location to record your voice samples. You will also get your free tee shirt this way.

If you are interested to volunteer (and get the T-Shirt!) please come to MMU Cyberjaya from 14th to 16th July 2010, FCM building. We have lots of data collection specialists in the lobby area waiting for you. Once you arrive, we'll usher you to collect your data. Once data collection is completed, you get your T-Shirt.
