Ya blue tack will bond to the paint after some time and possibly damage the paint. Try using water glue.

no stain, no paint fall off, no hole.
if the stain can be cleaned without damaging the paint, still ok. but if the stain is permanent, no way.

i blif u can work fine with normal cello tape..but u fold it into double side...near to the edge of the poster...and then put onto the wall... as in if u put the tape near the edge..u still managed to peel it with care next time u wan to take it down...

when u say 4 5 years.. i can tell you one thing.. there is nothing which can use to damage the wall...why ?

this is because after 1 or 2 years.. the wall original color will start to fade to another darker colour.. u can see this in typical old house.. however , if you cover the wall with a poster, after you remove the poster few years later, you can see the huge different.. the wall colour behind the poster are still in good condition... meanwhile the wall color which you everyday see actually faded away already

Right answer, TS dunno about this? If pix is heavy, use heavy duty tape.

hmm.gif i see.

if want to repaint the wall, will it be the good idea? as in...
there's one layer of paint before. then u add another layer (maybe slightly different colour as sometimes we will cannot remember 100% the exact colour we used when the paint is still in liquid form).
I always got the impression that the 2nd layer is very easy to be peeled off

if your paint did not get direct sunlight everyday , then is okay to have second layer... if you have other colour such as light blue , light yellow.. second layer should be something darker to cover the first layer. when u have darker colour d.. you want back to light colour, unfortunatelly , you have to waste more money on getting the wall back to white color coz is always the first colour foundation if you want to have nice colour contrast in your house..

it's not stain pro...juz mayb partial of cello tape remained on the wall...u can peel if off 1..but need extra effort...how can u c stain if it's transparent? and if u fold the 1 piece of tape into 2 and paste in onto the wall..it will be easier to remove 1

you can still see it even if it is transparent. I had a bunch of those in my old room since I like to stick stuff on my wall. The cello tape that remains is reflective hence easily seen.

In my experience of sticking stuff onto the wall, there's none that will not leave a stain. There will be one way or the other. The difference is some may be worse than the other.
