FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 02:00 (GMT) on Sept. 1, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs. New schedule will be released at a later date.
Along with the postponement of FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, the issuing of registration code for FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will be postponed as well. With the download of client software's installer, it will be suspended at 02:00 (GMT) on Sept. 1, 2010.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Is this a discrimination or is this list has not be updated fully? Please reply ASAP because this does not bode well as there is many of us in Malaysia are already pre-ordered the game around 500 users accounted and expecting this game to arrive to our country around 27th or 28th September(for CE) and around 3rd or 5th October for standard edition.
Please register our country as well.

However in the process of amending, it is to my shock that there is no option for us to select the Region of my beloved Country, Malaysia.

Dear Sirs,
RE: FINAL FANTASY XIV – Region Registration in Square Enix Account
Recently Square Enix, Ltd (henceforth quoted as SE) announced the launch of Open Beta for Final Fantasy XIV (henceforth quoted as FFXIV) in 1st of September 2010. But the recent postponement of the open beta launch gives me an opportunity to query SEs decision on the region registration issue.
In the region registration, SE has divided 3 regions and each region is divided in more sub-regions. In my shocking disbelief, under Europe & Other regions > Oceania & other regions, there is no MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE or INDONESIA in that region. On the contrary BRUNEI DARUSSALAM which is situated in between MALAYSIA is listed under Europe & Middle East, which is, clearly, not correct. All of these nations I mentioned are actually under ASEAN territory.
I do believe aside myself and my peers; there’s should be more players anticipated this game throughout this ASEAN region thus adding up SE business opportunity. I suggest for SE to add up these country in the region registration:
- MALAYSIA
- SINGAPORE
- INDONESIA
- PHILLIPINES
I look forward to your reply and a resolution to our problem before the launch of the retail version of FFXIV.
