i won't be playing much in open beta, so don't really bother about it. most of us are not playing also. just like 10+ people..

as for retail if you're interest, pm me your e-mail address, forum is not up yet. we probably will be using facebook group to gather people first, coz we all still need to level. depends on the leveling and questing process we will pick new officer, vote ls leader and events leader. have to see the situation first.

as for forum, will be up when 75% of the ls are ready for end-game, still to early to make.
----
yesterday my fren told me, the battle menu is very lag, retainer thing is extreme lag. wow.. that bad? no auto attack?  w

everytime he play also shakes head.. but we're still excited and hopefully SE fix it in open beta.

and about the fatigue system think it just a rumour.

"Foreign sites have lots of false rumors.  They throw together words and fabricate remarks.  Then Japanese sites take this and further [falsify it through] mistranslation.  The fatigue point criticism has absolutely nothing to do with the actual [system] and is just full of wild ideas." - Tanaka

http://ffxiv.zam.com/story.html?story=23080

this is why... jp always piss at na www for this reason, troll~

In other words, Tanaka means "Gaijin sucks..."
Installing the beta client now.... If not enough time to try the beta, then wait for open beta....

personally i felt SE were trying so hard to attract people playing this game, new job system which is fail, still prefer ffxi job system. simple and easy to understand, wasn't that rpg suppose to be? i rather they spend more time making more quest and good storyline for each nation. instead screwing up which is perfected in the past.

more solo frenly, come on w.. wow? w everyone just want to be next the wow. after all what SE doing now... is really totally understand with threat such as xbox360, ps3 and the king of mmo wow. it need to do something new, something to attract the world to play, they can't just survive from japan playerbase. instead of doing so many thing and messed up it's system, sometimes more.. doesn't really mean good. they make this game more easier, just becoz NA people used to complain ffxi was way too hard and now the JP complain for being too easy w.. FFxi was charm.. becoz it is hard, make you feel different. the satisfaction is guarantee when something accomplish.

even me, have pretty much mix up feeling, with so many good games coming.. i don't think i will spend alot of time with ffxiv.. but.. with my past in ffxi i know i'm going to be very hardcore, i always told my fren how scare i'm for playing ffxiv w. me and a few fren were able to xp-ing, earn merit, or camping for 14-18hr straight, sometimes can even play whole day but only happen at weekdays... coz we usually busy at weekends including myself but at nights only. ya i don't have to work.. 1/2 retired w.

and ffxiv felt like, hmmm way too much similar to treasure of ant urhgan, way too pirate life.. ww seriously, we had enuff that on ffxi w. like my fren said, the more he play the more his head shakes for no w..

and like i say.. FFXIV developer are facing something very challenging.. and i felt for them. hopefully they can make it success...

FFXIV totally caught my suprise when they announced the release date for sept 22nd, they just wanna rush out before wow catalysm, and still not a threat ? W

edit: the only only thing i hope.. is they make a good eng-game content, then i'm happy, and i want a imposible to gauge hnm malboro that require two alliance to kill w.

if you can take FFXI away from FFXIV..

SE will not say: "You must join hands...once AGAIN"

by the way, i found a good read here ( http://eorzea.blogspot.com/2010/08/meanwhile-in-beta.html ), this guy is in beta test and he blog his feedbacks.

Square Enix has added a lot of unusual systems, controls and things of much frustration and agony so far. Most people were hopeful that these things would change come official release, that was, until not long ago when some new interviews started surfacing with the FFXIV development team. And let me tell you, they're nothing short of downright frightening.

edit: another issues is the Auction House.. wtf no AH www.. me n my fren were heavily discussing this.. in a msn chat group.. we care for ffxiv gameplay that's why you can see people who played ffxi are in uproar against SE development team..

The next big, major issue is the fact that there is no Auction House on FFXIV. There is what's called the "Market Wards". You "hire" a retainer, meaning you get your own NPC to stand in this large market area with a "bazaar" of your goods for sale within them. The bad thing is that there's no way of knowing who has what and there are honestly hundreds if not thousands of these NPC's and this is just in the BETA. This means trying to find some simple ingredients or a piece of armor can honestly take hours of searching. People begged Square Enix in the masses to please introduce a Auction House.

love the article.. but will keep my mind open till the real game launch..
like what the article writer says:
"Still I hold out hope, that maybe Square Enix will change their minds, maybe they will see how much of a uproar this is causing and change some things, because if they don't there won't be much hope for such an amazing and beautiful game with so much potential."

hope you enjoy the game www...

and if have time.. do take a read here : http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/11702-in-summary/ (warning long article) it pretty much sum up what i want to say. w

Added on August 25, 2010, 3:42 pmAfter talking with some friends about this, I'm feeling more frustrated that SE hasn't given solid answers as to why they feel these changes are good for the game. They're obviously doing these changes/implementations for a reason, but their reasons are summed up in vague two sentence answers that aren't helpful. I think that's really what's frustrating to everyone in general. Even a better answer for some aspects of the game: i.e. "We're doing market wards instead of AH to help combat against gold sellers. We feel that market wards will provide a better experience, etc etc etc." (not saying this is in any way correct, just using as an example) Something to help the players understand why their vision is the way it is. I almost feel like I'm the elementary school student with the reason of "because I said so" slapped in my face.

SE stated that the AH would be added but they do not want that to set the economy. And it will not be at release.

user posted image

base on this picture above you can see the AH sign. picture taken from Abriael in ffxivcore

and do you want to go thru something like this in ffxiv ?

don't forget the existence of ffxiah.com.
Beta is only for gamers to test the game with only few features like gameplays and probably the most basic ones.
AH is more to economy wise which hinted that SE is still holding back on it.
Mainly because they don't want rmts or any of their organization to have any plans for it.

Y do such rodents existed ? Most of these rodents are fed by NAs themselves too ^.^ Alot of them cant resist temptation to overwhelming gears. They had the wealth to fund yet no time and these rodents had plenty of time. I've seen many dynamis dude with fully unlocked weapon yet they dont do dynamis nor farm at all. Funny thing of all is that they did is bazaar junks outside of jueno when they are sleeping. What is their syn skills ? It's 0!

Beta Keys Update from Square Enix

Square Enix emailed us to let us know how the beta keys you won here at FFXIVCore.com (and other community sites) will work when Open Beta starts. Basically, the keys will change when the open beta goes live. Everyone that is already registered and playing in the beta will be sent an e-mail to their registered Square Enix Account with a new key that can be redeemed in the same fashion as previous keys.

However, if you did not register your key yet, please do so right now! Because once phase 3 ends, they will no longer work. Therefore we want to make sure everyone at least registers them now, so that you'll get the updated key when they’re automatically sent out.
