Sony Bravia KLV-40EX400 or Samsung LA40C530, Help in selecting LCD - Sony/Samsung?

Hey all!
I'm awfully confused now. I've been searching around and am having trouble deciding on the 2 LCD models - Sony Bravia KLV-40EX400 or Samsung LA40C530. The Sony Bravia is going for about RM3.4k whilst the Samsung about RM2.6k. Which one would you go for?
To me, the picture produced looked similar in store. I believe they both have a motionflow/ refresh rate of 60hz. Difference I noticed is that Sony has 4HDMI ports whilst the Samsung has 3HDMI ports. What's actually important to me is the USB playback - I would like to be able to plug in my external HDD and play a movie as I don't intend to get a media player immediately. I am not sure if the Bravia can play avi files or divx files?
Bravia is also more expensive - am i merely paying more for the "Sony" name it being Japanese rather than a Korean make?

samsung lah. sony board, parts comes from the same one as samsung.
4 hdmi, u dont need ..

sony have media player itself, but only can play divx only,
samsung cam play mostly all major format such as mkv,xvid,flv,mp4 and many more
and FYI, dynamic contrast sony still can't beat samsung contrast,

Make sure to get warranty if you going for the samsung, mine just broke down last week...couldn't power it on. only bought for 2 months plus...  |

Hi Anybody know the price of the SAMSUNG LA46C550 46" LCD TV, I asked the shop yesterday he say RM4400.00 anybody can confirm? he say got 4 HDMI inputs but specs i think only got 3

If > RM3.2k. You can consider Toshiba 42ZV600.
It's toshiba flagship model.
I just get it last week, Picture quality and Sound quality is very nice.
Sony Ex400 > RM3k too expensive. Samsung 40C530 can consider RM2499.
