buy 18-105 first later on upgrade to 70-200

and by the way 70-200 got VR and constant 2.8 with 7 ED glass

that's why they offer the kit lens first that cover from wide to telephoto so once you comfortable with your photography then you can choose to go more on wide end or telephoto end

not so good compared to what?

70-200 2.8 recommended if you have a lot of extra money aka rich
or
you are making money with your photo and you can get decent amount of profit in return

Im using tamron 17-50 2.8 XR DiII
its a perfect lens for amateur with cheap budget
i did all my assignments with those and it gave decent quality sharpness and color
flickrwhoring a bit with my underexposed photos
