Sorry very newbie hehe..

I mean A mode for Aparture, that it will blur the foreground or background when you scroll the dial rite?
*
yes, technically a smaller F number will give you more blurred background. so if you use A mode, you have to scroll the front dial, the one beside the lens. the back dial, beside the lcd is to control the shutter speed.

I like to take night pictures and scenery like buildings, must i get a flash gun?
*
depends what type of night pictures. if you're talking about night or indoors with people, then yes better to get flash. if just night landscape, you need a tripod and set to longer shutter with a higher F number.

In that case, you need a good tripod and a ultra wide angle lens.
Batman's signal strobe can tongue.gif.
*
kit lens 18mm sufficient d, not neccasary for UWA. but of course, useful to have UWA la hehe.

My friend just asked me a question: Comparing Nikon D3100 and D90 which is better?

Apart from the 1080p, what else?
*
D3100:
- 14mp
- better CMOS sensor?
- AF video recording

D90:
- dual dial
- body motor
- more accesible buttons, more pro

may i know what's the benefit of dual dial?
*
you can adjust aperture and shutter speed much quickly, both at once instead of 1 by 1 tongue.gif

Just give them a call. 6950 for VRII , credit card charges 2% and 5% for the 0% installment plan. Total up around 7298. Around 608 per month.
*
that sounds contradicting.. what's the point of them calling it a 0% plan in the first place?

why? d90 body rm 24++ and tamron 18-200 rm980.. so total about rm34++..

but d90 kitlens about RM36++
*
but d90 kitlens about RM36++ come with bag, tripod, 4gb card. 18-105 should be around RM800-900 for new or close to new.

18-105 got VR, tamron 18-200 no VR

18-105 f/3.5-5.6, tamron 18-200 f/3.5-6.3

18-105 focus faster than tamron 18-200

was about to reply same thing as kenji haha...

and by the way 70-200 got VR and constant 2.8 with 7 ED glass  whistling.gif
*
with a whopping price of ~7k, 7000!!! that's 4-digits compared to 3-digit 18-105, about 9-10x more expensive lol.

1 x 70-200 = 10 x 18-105

tamron 18-200 rm980... got VR ?
y so cheap... lol
d90 kit lens better or this?
*
read my post again. no VR

cheap because of that. and the autofocus motor is old type, noisy and slow. and aperture until f/6.3, not 5.6 like nikkor.

Nikon 18-105 VR quality IMHO definitely better.

Cheaper probably since minus internal AF motor.
*
tamron 18-200 also has internal AF motor mind you, but then not as good as nikkor's la. it's old tech, slow and noisy haha.

but i heard from them that 18-200's quality is not so good... suggest go for 70-200 f/2.8, is that true?
*
lol yes of course, 70-200 is an FX, full frame, lens also after all. 18-200 is just a travel lens for DX, crop sensors. the 70-200 has fixed aperture at f/2.8 and with 7 ED glass, it's made from quality. price also quality, RM7k compared to RM2k+ for nikkor 18-200 VR

guys want to ask something..confuse me a bit..

for 50mm f/1.8 (FX lens) attached to d90 body it'll be around 75mm right?

but what if like 18-55 (DX lens) attached to d90 body..does it times by 1.5x crop magnification as well or not?

thanks!~ =D
*
all lenses attached to crop sensor will x1.5, so it'll be 27-83
