The Criterion Collection will finally release Seven Samurai on October 19.

With Back to the Future Trilogy and Alien Anthology coming a week later, October will be my most anticipated month for blu-ray this year. thumbup.gif

Added on July 19, 2010, 8:33 pmerrr...how do u guys register for us account ? i cant use my cc..hmm

I managed to register without a credit card 2 years ago. My friend tried to register a few months ago, a valid US credit card required as well so he gave up. I guess now it's no longer possible to register a US account without a US credit card as it checks for valid billing address.

Sweet, but I prefer the UK packaging tongue.gif

I've considered all options, in fact almost bought the UK versions just because of the booklet. But then found out that this version has all the info on that booklet printed on the inside cover of each season, coupled with the fact that it has The Plan together pushed me to get this US edition instead. Of course I had to wait for the right price, and at this price buying the set and The Plan from UK would cost me more.

If I get the UK version I have to buy The Plan separately and I don't want it to sit on the shelf on it's own, separated from the big family. Just my thing. biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Classic stuff, im sure your weekend is scheduled for this boxset eh? brows.gif

No plan yet, this show runs for 67 hours! laugh.gif

I've got many more shows on the shelf begging me to watch them, The Universe Season 4, Fringe Season 1, Clone Wars Season 1. Add to that the DVD collection I've bought since years ago, The X-Files, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, all of them complete seasons. sweat.gif

Looks like I need to take a long holiday. brows.gif

Just to let everyone know, this current edition uses flimsy paper box, just like the UK edition.

The hard box with magnetic flap is no longer available.

Die Hard 1 & 2 PQ aren't that bad, 3 to 3.5 stars I would rate it. Vengeance is 3.75 stars and the fourth one of course 5 stars. Too bad I missed that amazing deal.

Count me out for both. They need to remaster the first 3 Die Hards.

I've got nothing to buy till the end of the year.

Unless Weeds drops like crazy during Black Friday!

So Panasonic starter kits are out for sale? That's a good thing. Movie is still going to cost $100++ each on the auction sites. Just like Monsters vs Aliens 3D
(still selling for $72-100+ with a lossy sound track)

First 2 maybe, but the third is quite good.

This is the best the movies will ever look IMO, the source is not in the best condition in the first place. If they remaster it could end up like the new Predator UHE which is much worse.
