Anyone here receiving defective blu-rays from Amazon? I've gotten 5 so far.

Just complained about Ondine. It arrived, refused to work.

Now they're sending a replacement. Real hassle.

Takes too long to load and sometimes it doesn't load at all. Freezes every couple of minutes. Sometimes it just stops during play back.I test the disc with other blu-ray players to confirm there's an issue before contacting Amazon.

Very strange indeed. The defective rate appears abnormally high for any one single user ...

Just a thought. Have u tried loading these discs with the BD-Live deactivated on the blu-ray player? Also, clear the existing cache first before trying this again.

My 2 cents.

My worst fear would be a defective player or lense, but u said it also happens on other bd player. Strange indeed.

Re-release steelbook coming end of the year from Futureshop.
Phobia buying from FutureShop now after the last incident. *sigh*

They look nice though. Have always liked the simplistic slick covers of FS steelbooks. Not like the amazon uk's Robin Hood, which was like an advertisement board!

Anyway, they should re-release Iron Man steelbook. That is a classic and really kick-started all this steelbook craze.

hi guys,
Can a normal HD READY lcd tv play blu-ray disc? or do i need a FULL HD lcd?

As of current technology, an LCD TV cannot playback blu-ray disc. You would need a blu-ray player for that. tongue.gif whistling.gif
