Has anyone ever refused to accept any incoming parcel/order from Amazon that was taxed... whereas it was not supposed to be in the first place; like when the total per order was below RM500? Am just asking.... hmm.gif

can you guys explain me more about REGION stuff?
PS3 can play all region?
what's region?
*
As opposed to dvd format region codes, BLU-RAY REGION CODES are slightly different and consists of 3 regions coded as alphabet A, B & C.

PS3 bought from M'sia, S'pore, HK etc are for blu-ray Region A (or region-free) playback... and Region 3 (or region-free) dvd playback.

Region is this... biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Xirality @ Sep 27 2010, 08:16 PM)
which mean sg set can play all region?
*
I think there's a slight misunderstanding between "Region-free" & "All Region". "Region-free" means the disc was not encoded with a region code restricting the area of the world in which they can be played, while "All region" literally means Region A, B and/or C; which are all coded.

So to answer your question:
No, S'pore PS3 set can't playback "All Region" blurays except Region A, but does playback "Region-free" blurays. I hope this helps... smile.gif

If you dont mind sharing, can u name the titles you purchased during last year's BF sales?
Just wanted to know that's all. Also if you remember exactly how much did they cost you? Thanks..

I guess this picture will explain itself. While I bought mostly older titles, the newer ones were the biggest bargain. Sold for USD10 each, they were Ice Age 3, The Gladiator, Braveheart & X-Men Origins: Wolverine (& Star Trek too if not mistaken)... and Cars Gift Set for USD13! (this one during Lightning Deal, it was a steal!!) thumbup.gif

What's black friday sales?  blink.gif
*
The Friday that followed Thanksgiving is called Black Friday; also marked as the beginning of X'mas sales in the States. It will run from that day onward until X'mas. During this period where it is the best time to haul your carts to the checkout, piled with tons of blu-rays at unbelievable discounts of prices from Amazon & other stores, HAHA... I hope I explained this right...if not anyone, do correct me. tongue.gif

Tin Man, Green Zone, Prince of Persia, Ondine, Ghostbusters, etc.

Very strange because unlike dvd, bds are manufactured more robust and almost problem-free. If it is not player/lens problem... and not because of bd-live connectivity, how about heat maybe? those discs might be stored at a very high temperature place? i don't know, just guessing. seems strange though.... hmm.gif

Ghostbusters arrived smelling like it was left in the hot sun for several hours. The case was all soft.  Heat was probably the cause there.

The rest, just defective I'm guessing. Some are just a problem with the 1st disc, 2nd disc plays well. So you can confirm it's a 1st disc issue smile.gif
*
i guess this is an isolated case and not a manufacturing/authoring defect in general. fortune is just not on ur side when u received those troubled discs in a row...

better luck next time bro, i hope... nod.gif

My friend also experienced this... and he found out it was not opened by KDN. Once there's a report also that Amazon UK sent used blu-ray title doh.gif

Is that right? Can't recall though...

nway, I'm just asking because I think we can't simply give excuse to Amazon saying dat the parcel got lost in transit to avoid paying tax because courier is trackable, so they'll know... don't they? Wif standard shipping maybe u can get away wif it.... hmm.gif
