Srsly, standing fan is better than tower fan. Tower fan really is just for show, cooling effect wise - standing fan is better.

The reason why u guys always think that tower fan is cooler is because all the shops u go to has AIR COND - tesco, giant, etc, all got air cond, so thats y u feel that the fan is cold.

Same as stand fan la actually, cuz all the hypermarkets got air cond, u also feel that the stand fan is cool, but when u buy the no brand fans, balik rumah it becomes bleh. Just buy a branded stand fan, damn strong wind and cool enough. Waaay better than tower fan.

Added on July 6, 2010, 3:40 amIts up to u actually.Stand fan reli much cooler as my oppinion.Tower fan save more space due to its longness design and have more function.Well, parent the one who buy it.Still,i didnt feel too hot when use it.If you want much more cooler,go buy aircond!

i also wanted to buy a Tower fan previously but i must say whether with or without aircond in the shop or complex
The stand fan Blows much stronger wind compare to a tower fan is almost hopeless.
But as for design wise , yes tower fan is this generation XD

2 still not enough ya? I am staying at high floor condominium so if there is wind or rainy days it is very cooling. (even without any fan)
just that sometimes before rain, the air is so still and no wind at all. rclxub.gif

if not wrong, tower fan not easy to clean right?

but definitely tower fan not strong.... but the good thing is the wind is vertically dispersed,so covers more vertical head-to-toe distance. maybe good to setup if it is to be placed near to you

Get an exhaust fan too. There would be a flow of cooler fresh air from outside coming in.

yes, placed right next to my bed, so tower fan is ok? laugh.gif

I am not really sure what is 'vertically dispersed', how does the normal round standing fan works? the wind is horizontally dispersed?

actually then i think the normal standing fan is better. unless you really want that nicer design from the tower fan... imho, you'd want to make sure you have a fan that can blow you quite directly & will keep you cool when you're sleeping.

tower fan really quite weak... unless you get the more expensive ones... which no point la.. pay so much for a fan... u go test out then u will know smile.gif

Standing fan is way better than tower fan. But dyson fan vs COPY dyson fan is worst ...i love dyson fan becuz of safety reason n the winds can blew the paper in 6ft distance( i tried in harvey norman, ikano) but dyson fan is too pricey but it isn't noisy compare to the COPY. COPY dyson , the intake fan is noisy as 5 times of cpu fan. Tower fan is good but when it comes to cleaning the dust..u have to unscrew the whole body and clean the snowy-dust alike...the dust collect inside the tower fan is worst than 6 months not cleaning your standing fan.
