Get N1, no questions about it. You like to tweak stuff and push your phone to the limit. N1 is made for that. The devs are more active with the N1 and there are plenty of toys to play around. I've jumped on the N1 ship and never looked back, although I still keep my Hero around (just cant sell it, it's my first Android). Right now Google is harassing me to update to FroYo.
I know la I got it from there as well but it's a leak (I guess so as it contains HTC confidential) which mean they're doing something instead of nothing
They're still debating whether it's a leak or otherwise. And if it's indeed a leak, that 720p recording feature would suggest it's an EVO 2.2 ROM rather than Desire. The problem with HTC is not that they are doing nothing. It's when do they actually roll out the updates. There will be rumors, delays and broken promises.
nexus one froyo works well on desire!!! so smooth n getting nice benchmarks too.. par with nexus one.. but why does people say nexus one performs better? cuz no sense ui?
Ok here's the thing. FroYo is not for Nexus One, it's for all Android phones. So theoretically, FroYo should work on any Android phones that has capable hardware. Since basically both the N1 and Desire have the same hardware specs, I dont see how an N1 could outperform a Desire if both of them are running Vanilla Android. In fact, I think Desire would have an advantage due to its larger RAM capacity.
