Don't know if Dany will die or not in the future, based on what Tyrion asked her. Seems like a foreshadowing.

QUOTE(6so @ Aug 28 2017, 12:23 PM) Actors salary goes by episode. If they split they are paying them twice for a single episode budget. Jon, Danny, Cersei, Tyrion getting 2mil++ each. Jamie, Arya, Sansa about 1mil++. So that's 12 to 15 mil extra cost if there are 2 episodes for finale. Not counting the supporting actors. Cinematic vfx cost truckloads of moolah. I am sure they are being paid for two episodes worth of salary for this finale. It's 1 hour and 20 minutes. Even if the actors/actresses keep quiet, their talent agencies would have been suing their asses off. It's pure marketing strategy. It makes the fans feel like there's a lot in the finale that they have to combine both together. And also it's the finale, it's where a lot of loose ends come together, sneak peak into some newer plots and having a longer episode gives the tv series a grandeur before they end. This post has been edited by miyakochan89: Aug 28 2017, 05:04 PM |

I think the saddest part is the deceased Lady Stark. She died still thinking that her husband cheated and had a bastard son.
Though I saw it coming that Jon was gonna claimed the throne and whatnot, I was rooting for Dany to be the ruler though, she has fought through fire and ice to be where she is now and Jon just randomly skated through. But i guess it's just patriarchy. This post has been edited by miyakochan89: Aug 29 2017, 11:21 AM |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Sep 1 2017, 09:28 PM) Just finished watching the finale. Was saving S7 for the holidays, wasn't easy what with every bit of news site / even hardware comments section! The book is never gonna finish cause the author doesn't really care anymore. But the TV crews have always had the whole outlines from the George Martin, just in case he passes away. That's what he said.Incredible. Absolutely phenomenal. Cercei... Jon's lineage finally revealed... The undead Viserion just tore the freakin wall down!! Amazing. Can't believe have to wait until 2019 for 6 episodes (rumor has it would be 1 hour++ per episode). If I'm not wrong, the book for this season isn't even out yet right... so it is unsurprising have to wait until 2019. They probably got JRR's "draft notes" to get the story of S7 going... QUOTE(6so @ Aug 29 2017, 06:19 PM) After watching the finale twice think the majority of the bumpy narrative decisions came down to the last 2 episodes. At it's core its still a pretty good GoT season but still behind season 6 when comes to everything coalescing with the right circumstances and potent characters growth. I agree that the three siblings plot against Littlefinger is too sudden and out of place. But it's a cheap trick to instil shock. Does it work? Oh yes it does cause a lot of news portals are talking about it so free marketing, yay!The biggest pet peeves of mine is not enough of major character biting the dust. It just missing that soul crushing moment that gets you to go raging WTF. There are some serious inconsistent handling of the characters. Always had this assumption of Tyrion will always be the smartest person in the room and yet we keep seeing him making dumb plan of one after another. To be fair his last scene with Cersei is why you watch GoT and make me go geekgasm. Demise of Lord Baelish does give me the immense satisfaction but hated how it was being set-up. Creepy Arya just felt really out of place and Sansa crying victim very whiny. Maybe it wasn't filmed with enough care to convey effectively of the scheme at play by Sansa. Bran is my least favourite Stark at the moment and disappointed he is that dues ex machina tool when comes to tying loose ends. Hope next season comes in a year or not another delay. Anyways the guy who played Bran did say it an interview that prior to that scene, there was a deleted scene where Sansa talked to Bran about Arya on the issues and if she should trust her little sister or punish her. Bran revealed to Sansa instead that its all Littlefinger's ploy to turn them all against each other. This post has been edited by miyakochan89: Sep 14 2017, 07:35 AM |

QUOTE(6so @ Apr 24 2019, 08:00 AM) Jon Snow - Survives to drive the bittersweet ending narrative. I think Grey Worm will live and go to the Missandei's place to protect the peaceful people in honor of her. Or they will both end up dead. Either way, one of them is confirmed dead. Daenery - Her odds of surviving pretty low, someone gotta trigger Azor Ahai. Tyrion - After nerfing his intelligence for a few seasons and hopeful he will turn the tide at pivotal moment. Jamie - His narrative purpose pretty much done except if he is to act on Maggy the Frog words. Sansa - Most probably retaining her Lady of Winterfell title. A Stark has to survive. Arya - Her last hurrah with death pretty sets in stone especially after smashing with Gendry. No one stays happy in GoT. Bran - His death sets in motion the next three eyes raven or night king. Jorah - Think he ran out of lives, furthermore all good things ends abruptly in GOT. Varys - The eunuch has long overstays his narrative purpose. Gendry - Perhaps dying together with Arya. Theon - Things never went right for him. The Hound - Has no reason to be alive after babysitting Arya. Clenganebowl!! Tormund - Ginger beard is too funny to die. Brienne - DOA the moment she was knighted. Bronn - One last fight against his own interest. Podrick - Someone gotta sing a song about Battle of Winterfell. Melisandre - Her death pretty much certain from her little talk with Varys. Missandei - If the showrunners charitable, she lives to go home. Grey Worm - When you proclaim your future plans, irony just denies it in GoT. Cersei and Euron comeuppance is the last act of fan service. Jaime and Tyrion haven't finished their stories, they still have Cersei to deal with. xD Jaime might end up killing her, what he would do for love. Danerys is confirmed dying, in the last 2 episodes she is starting to get greedy and selfish. I think it's done on purpose, so that she can make her grand sacrifice later and show to people 'see! I'm a good person after all!'. Or we might have a twist that she ends up the biggest villain later. But with 4 episodes to go, kinda don't have time for that. |

I quite like this episode. Really kept me on edge. I could feel the despair and hopelessness. But disappointed that most of them survived.

QUOTE(wilsonjay @ Apr 29 2019, 10:25 PM) quite disappointed if the night king is officially dead now, dafuq I was actually expecting a big twist for his purpose, but they just kill him off like that? It's because Game of thrones has always been about the thrones. Stories about betrayals and mind games to get the power. Night King is just a sideline story to build up all the characters, ready for the final moment. The throne. I won't be surprised if there will be some last minute betrayals going on later.Kinda reminds me of 'the last jedi', Snoke dead without knowing what was his purpose This post has been edited by miyakochan89: Apr 30 2019, 12:08 AM |

QUOTE(tonYe @ Apr 29 2019, 03:40 PM) Kinda disappointed with the episode. Maxed the brightness and in most of the first half, all I could see is myself in the reflection of the screen. Also... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(PseudoWoodo @ Apr 29 2019, 07:22 PM) Disappointing on all fronts except music. Couldnt see shit, only main characters alive out of THOUSANDS, threw Azor Ahai out of the story, the Red Priests were basically useless, Arya Deus Ex Machina, Bran useless, almost zero action with the Night King himself, nothing is explained, White Walker officers dont even enter the fight. Completely disappointing on all fronts, just fan service at this point I thought it was a good surprise. From the beginning until now people always speculated who Azor is and Arya never came close to the list. But looking back at all the seasons, she has been built up for this. There have been a lot of foreshadowing. And she has always been very stealthy. In this season she even sneaked up on Jon, which surprised him. And the library stealthy play was to show the audience just how quiet she could be, even quieter than her own drops of blood. They don't have to show you straight forwardly how she went from the room to where the NK was. The show has foreshadowed enough so that the audience could use imaginations. TL;DR in one word : DISAPPOINTED It was well played. And people are just disappointed because they have always been rooting for other characters like Jon or Dany as Azor and things turned out differently.
