I don't read the books (not yet anyways) but Ros is supposed to represent several characters in several events in the book IINM. The producers wanted to cut down in number the ever-increasing quantity of characters I suppose.

On another note: I am now only starting to appreciate and respect Littlefinger's character. My, my he is truly a master manipulator.

1) Does it get better from book to book?
2) Should I purchase and read the novel up to the current TV season adaptation?

Yalo...I felt Daario's allegiance to Dany was too baseless...I mean, defecting and beheading your comrades just because of the Khaleesi's beauty? Please tell me I'm missing something out from this plot...

Otherwise this episode was great. Margaery's expression after getting it in the face was good and I liked the Castamere intro. Looking forward to Rains of Castamere next week.

I seriously feel sorry for you book readers after watching this episode...The surprise and feelings that follow felt by non-readers like me is just so much win. It's been a while since I've been amused by any TV episodes since Breaking Bad's "Face-Off".
