yeah...Tyrells hate Stannis after that assassination.

Its not more of hate then it is of playing the game... that's what its all about.. if renly had been killed by a lannister the tyrells would've joined with stannis... that's the game, having power at any cost no alliances are safe or solid

I'd still give it an 8/10 simply because they left out the scene where

He's a "faceless" man from Braavos, the same place where Arya's teacher Syrio from season 1 is from.

Ohh come on man, dont tell me you buy the original version in stores  tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
The problem is even if you want the originals you can't get.. (at least in malaysia anyway). I've been hunting for the bluray pack since it came out but can't find it. So how do the producers expect to make more money? In the US/UK they have GOT merchandise stores... hoodies/t-shirts e.t.c.. are they saying they wont be successful in asia?! They want to make money but don't want to spend the money to make the money.

I assume we can contribute them by watching the series on HBO maybe ? The more views they get, the more money they earn, right ?  hmm.gif
*
Not only by watching the show but also through merchandising... a lot of money comes via merchandising as well. Besides, i don't think the HBO on Astro is the same HBO channel the series airs on in the US.

Personally with the amount of changes they did to the second season with respect to the books i'm not so much into the upcoming seasons since it means they're just gonna keep cascading the changes.

While its good to make "adjustments" to the story (like stealing of the dragons) is okay, my issue is that the changes made now will make them have to make even more changes later on so as to make sense, it can go either way (good or bad). I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Seems like the producers know that 10 episodes aren't enough.. season 3's episodes will be a few minutes longer... meaning compared to seasons 1 and 2 season 3 will have an 'extra' episode... http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ror...s/news/?a=71477

A flop? I wouldn't go as far as calling DoD a flop... especially as it was known that it was basically the "part 2" of book 4. i'm only scared for his age, otherwise he can take all the time he wants.. as per xter changing sides, its just like in real life, people change allegiances all the time, that's why the books are very interesting. Besides its not as if the characters just decided to change instantly, circumstances forced/made them do so... GRRM is just that good.

I don't read the book, but ppl who did has said that 1-3 are stellar but the 4-5 are disappointment.
*
people say stuff and complain about anything/everything, books 4 and 5 are equally as good as books 1-3.. if they look at both books as 2 parts of 1 book.

What i'm afraid of now is that if in the show robb's wife is killed, and G.R.R. Martin has already told the show producers how the story is going to end, and in the books robb's wife isn't killed but saved by robb's uncle, does it mean that the wife in the books is going to die soon as well? Cos in the books she's also pregnant as well and hence is the mother to the "unborn" heir to winterfell... hmmmm.... hmm.gif

I understand the writer intention to go against the norm/cliche, problem is there's nothing bad ever happen to the "evil" Lannisters AT ALL;
-Tyrion is pretty cool...o wait, he got fcked constantly by others.
-Jaimie loses hand!!...o wait...he used to be a prettty cool guy apparently.
It's just ridiculous.

Question to novel readers :
-does the story so far is about half of the third novel?
-how many novel were planned for the series anyway?

I get the feeling that the tv series will surpass the novel in 2-3 years with the current pace of releases.
And I heard the 4th novel is pretty short in story progression.
*
The writer isn't really going against the norm.. his writing is just realistic in the sense that the good guys do not always win... and to answer your question, yes things will "balance" out later in the books...... and then unbalance again........ and then balance out again... rinse and repeat. blink.gif

Im still confused here,is Gendry & Edric Storm actually a same person/character in the series?
*
In the books both gendry and edric storm exist and are totally separate characters that do not even meet.. But in the show the 2 characters have been merged into gendry

Well they are all naive in some ways. Joining the Night Watch is pretty much a career suicide in Westeroos. Even his own uncle Ben found it ludicrous that he wanted to join the Night Watch. The Starks have this unflinching desire for honor that it blinds them but it also makes them very endearing because they represent the goodness in all of us.
*
He joined the night's watch because that was most likely the best option for him. especially since stark men have been known to join the night's watch of their own will in more recent times. Catelyn hated him so much she probably wouldn't have let him prosper. He would most likely never own lands or titles, unless ned stark or maybe their sword master (the guy theon killed) knighted him he would probably never be a knight. Being the "*******" of Ned Stark, the most honorable man in the 7 kingdoms wasn't helping matters as well. If Ned Stark had been like Robert Baratheon or some other character whom didn't care so much for honor then he might have had a slim chance of making something of himself without his "father's" single act of dishonor clouding over his head all the time.

Catelyn was just a selfish and impulsive character who did things the way she wanted. If she had left the whole "tyrion's knife" issue to ned stark NONE of what happened to them would've happened (but then again the story might have not been this interesting tongue.gif ) and sadly most of the kids took after her (robb especially) attitude wise.

Well... albeit House Bolton did play a major part in the downfall of House Stark
but neither Roose Bolton nor Ramsay has POV in the book, which makes them a minor characters in the plot tongue.gif

Next season we might see a bit more of the House Greyjoy, and lets hope

I'm interested to see who they'll cast as the Red Viper, and his paramours brows.gif

They've already cast the Red Viper. it this guy... user posted image.

Personally i don't think he fits the role, he's not how I imagined him to look like.. I always thought this guy would've suit the role better
