hi everybody, i hope that im in a correct forum =)

i got a problem recently which is im developig a advertising system which somethings like in the gsc which provide the show times and movie trailer dere.. so than my client is using the plasma tv and they wana conect the server with the plasma tv with lan cable.. do anyone here think that it is possible to do that???

btw.. google and intel is developing some tv which can support os within it,...

if your TV got LAN port, then it should be DLNA Certified, add a NAS to the LAN network and every DLNA TV on the LAN can play the movie resided in NAS hard drive

so is it that they just use the lan cable instead of the vga and the hdmi cable?? im abit blur.. sorry

for temporary solution, what about using hdmi extender; use cat5e or cat6 lan cable to link between extenders

Owh, you want VGA extender? Something like this?

1) you store your movie files into a hard disk
2) you need a LAN (local area networking) so that every HDTV can access the movie files through LAN, it can be either a NAS(Network-attached storage) or simply a windows or Linux machine which will house your hard dish containing your movie files
3) hook up everything together using networking switch using rj45 cat 5e/cat 6 networking cable
4) now your DLNA compliance HDTV plasma or LCD can retrieve movie files from hard disk through LAN cable and play the movie file right inside the HDTV, no HDMI cable involved

alternative method is using stand-alone media player + HDMI splitter
