highway: flashing hi beam, do you give way?

Right lane is for overtaking... period. U give way for faster or larger cars. Unless u want to end up being beaten into a pulp, just remain where u are till u encounter a road bully (VVIP drivers or bodyguards).

seems like the standard savvy light is pretty high... i received lots of flash if drive on dark places like in highway.... need to ask them to adjust the light lower abit

I will give way if its on a fast lane. There must be a reason he is going fast and flashing light to get way. Who knows? Maybe someone serious in the car needs to be admitted in the hospital.

Ppl driving slow (110-120 km/h) on fast lane like TS are fxxxxking annoying.
You drive "politely" behind them (no flash, and not right behind them) they won't move. No car on slow lane, they still wanna drive on the fast lane. They probably think they're at the maximum legal speed and so they think they are not wrong. Sometimes I flash they also don't wanna give way. So what I've learnt to do now is just to leave my highbeam on and drive behind them. Bastards. Driving to SG from KL, I go at 160 km/h avg speed and then I meet fks like TS slow sunday driving on the fast lane when the middle+left lane is clear. Ffcking stick to the middle lanes if you're not overtaking fckng sh1tcunts. Reason why people flash from afar; Driving long distance, you may use your cruise control. Cruising at 160+ km/h on fast lane. If I don't flash from afar, I would need to brake hard by the time I'm "near enough" to flash you. Probably brake down to 100km/h, wait for you to slowly move to the middle lane, then I would accelerate back up to 170km/h wasting my petrol, brake, and if I do that, I might as well not use cruise control. good explanation for u to safely overtake the slow car in middle lane, using fast lane at what ever ur comfortable speed. that is correct way, overtake from right lane, instead of left one.
however, pls consider if there are signal (beam/flash/yellow signal/hon from far) as the other car from behind is requesting for overteake u. give way, nothing lose, nothing wrong.....everybody end up continuing their life. blocking people in fast lane is not a good attitude.... braking as others mention are dangerouse action.... |
