well, those pict are really nice
but speed is a great concern..i need to be able to snap something like ASAP
i've read reviews n one of the problems was the lag during startup and delay trying to take second photo immediately after the 1st
battery life was a problem too 
btw, anyone here using the manual mode for everything? or just focus on using iAuto mode?

Once u uprev the firmware version from 1 into rev2, Start up time a quit FAST compare to rev1.
Well, Battery life also improved after uprev the firmware.
I just upgraded from Firmware rev1 into rev2. no concern on the startup speed !

Manual Mode focus, well...what u wan to know? Manual focus we can choose what to focus. by just turning the focus ring at the lens.

like how often does one changes the ISO, apeture, shutter speed via the soft menu when it was way more easier on conventional DSLR with more buttons/switches on the body itself?

Nope, I work in Glenmarie. So happen I was there camera bag hunting.
It is easier with a conventional DSLR but you will get used to to the UI after awhile.

is NEX much better than a-200 that u've decided to let it go?

I am not that pro at the end of the day to say it's better.

My requirements for a camera are simple; extremely portable, sexy and able to take photos which quality are above the point and shoot cameras.

So, the NEX fits the bill.

Switcheasy Ribcage taken in low light condition, pure awesomeness.

1855 this lens cant do much macro, u nid to buy a macro lens
