I stop downloading already and reverted back to torrent because then when it gets disconnected I need to put myself back in the queue.

QUOTE(farkinid @ Aug 18 2010, 10:11 AM) Don't worry. Judging from their reactions, they also miss you. And your *ahem* QUOTE(farkinid @ Aug 18 2010, 05:16 PM) I saw this problem being handled on the hub before. Turned out that the port used for DC++ hub client was shared with the torrent client. Same here. To me, it seems that the DIR-615 has issues when UPnP-ing 2 programs at the same time.I suggest checking to see if the DC++ client port is used by any other software. Solved it by using manual port forwarding. QUOTE(r47z @ Aug 19 2010, 11:00 AM) Who's gonna stick their neck out and set up the website? |

QUOTE(yoda @ Aug 19 2010, 10:30 AM) QUOTE(r47z @ Aug 19 2010, 11:00 AM) Lol I did mention on many occasions it's better that you guys go and torrent yourselves (especially those common stuff) or trade via sneakernet. I'm only on 5mbps and I'm also seeding stuff, so bandwidth is limited. I've also asked if you guys prefer to have more slots vs more speed, but I've never gotten a straight answer. So for now, 2 slots; first come first serve. Unless of course you guys want to subsidize a 20mbps line or two. Or three. |

bro d3x - 10 mbps line is *only* 50 more what :-D hehehehe
Personally I was deciding between 5 and 10, then decided to take 10 cos it's more value for the amnt you pay. More speed is better - too many slots also no use. |

I'm prepared to switch over to biz5 when it happens, and since it's RM50 more, it's considered an "upgrade" (at least, that's what they told me when I applied for Unifail). If I take the vip10 now and change to biz5 later, I'll feel the pinch of halving my bandwidth. Oh, and I couldn't care less for the IPTV. |

I wonder if we have to return the STB if swapped over to the BIZ5 package. I am just worried that they do not allow us to do it saying how our address is not qualify as "Business Address" |

I'm pretty sure they'll allow us to switch to biz5. Which sane company wouldn't want more money? Failing that, I'll just up my subscription to 20mbps. |

Hi guys,
Just saw this DC++ thing and joined today already! I'm selecting the BBC Life total 10 chapters [about 65G] to share, now it show "Creating file index", seem to be quite slow, may I know what exactly it's doing? Is it uploading?? Sorry guys, I normally use uTorrent to download, never use this DC++ before, hope to learn more & share files with you guys here! This post has been edited by klseet: Aug 23 2010, 09:38 PM |

As with using torrents etc - if people are downloading form you, or you are downloading form others, you'll have reduced bandwidth. Simple maths really :-) For me, normal surfing is ok while I'm actively downing or upping something, but if I go online to game with my ps3, i tend to close all torrents and dc++ etc.

Happens sometimes when you get disconnected/program crashes. At least that's why I've noticed when it happens to me anyway :-P

I always get Verlihub active search error... what's wrong? The it gets disconnected (the tab icon become red) - but the download still running. Just have to reconnect to search.
I've done manual port forwarding. I can search (get file list) but after a while I get this error and then get DCed. Any tips hints? |
