QUOTE(klseet @ Aug 23 2010, 09:37 PM) Hi guys, It's actually reading the file from your drive and hashing it Just saw this DC++ thing and joined today already! I'm selecting the BBC Life total 10 chapters [about 65G] to share, now it show "Creating file index", seem to be quite slow, may I know what exactly it's doing? Is it uploading?? Sorry guys, I normally use uTorrent to download, never use this DC++ before, hope to learn more & share files with you guys here! |

There are a few Mac clients :3
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC%2B%2B You may be able to use EiskaltDC++? Says it's cross platform. QUOTE(ynchan @ Nov 14 2010, 12:44 AM) I think it's due to the fact that there's no caps at the moment so there's no real need to access the hub for content. I'll keep it open anyway :3 |

Hosting provider network was down for a bit today.. Rebooted the hub and updated the firewall, doesn't seem to have any problems from my end though.

The hub is hosted on a Linux VPS. It only goes down when my provider restarts the VM host (once every 2 months~) or has datacenter issues. It doesn't cost me much to keep running so I don't mind keeping it up for a long time. If I do want to stop hosting it at some point, I'll offer the domain (hub.athena.my) to another LYN member if they wanna keep it running.
@lumix It takes about 1-2 minutes for your client to timeout from the hub if your TCP connection gets broken. Just chill for a bit and you should be able to reconnect after that period. |

QUOTE(carrotjooz @ Jan 12 2012, 10:48 PM) Drop me a PM with your WAN IP from http://www.whatismyip.com/ when you get that error, you may be hitting a firewall block so I need to whitelist you. :3 |

QUOTE(benlye @ Feb 27 2012, 01:48 PM) Maxis FTTH should be able to join but please use the '@public.maxis.com.my' login to get a public IP first. I pretty sure Maxis NATs its customers on a private LAN for the normal login domain and that would break port forwarding.QUOTE(JinXXX @ Feb 27 2012, 02:02 PM) Yesh, if there's connection timeout/rejected issues, please drop me a PM with your public IP. As stated above, I would not recommend using the default private IP login domain as even HTTP traffic is routed through a different set of public IPs with Maxis (due to their DPI system). So getting your actual public IP for without using a website like whatismyip.com etc. would be a little bit harder.. |
